It's this one, trust

The thing in the picture also seems to have a wing trailing edge that is swept, where the JF-17 's would be straight. So imo it 's not that.

Maybe, but it doesn’t seem that this thing is proportionally as long as that one is. Also, this has wingtip missile rails( or something visually similar ) while the Marut does not:

It wasn’t supersonic, it was just capable of handling supersonic speed and the first asian super sonic jet is probably made by Japan or China.

Really depends on the variant. XF-2 with SARH would be, but an early F-2 with 4+4 IR/ARH (possibly 2+6) and easily the most agile flightmodel yet (significantly improved over the already outstanding F-16) would probably be somewhat comparable to early Eurofighter and Rafale variants.

Only issue really is the lack of J/ARG-1, and with it technically datalink which would limit the AAM-4s quite a bit and essentially take away any advantage AESA would have outside of sim.

I doubt the flight model will be any better than F-16s, larger surfaces mean better turn at the expense of larger speed bleed, as far as I know.

Mirage F1? or maybe JH-7

Yeah, mirage F1, JH-7, jaguar, thats about the planes with a similar look here
Edit: alpha jet looks similar as well

i may be insane but i have a idea what if you took top tier naval and mixed it with 7.0 5.7 ground battles for d day or other costal maps as it would be a way to assist in the resureection of naval

By that I mostly meant agility, it does lose out in thrust to weight slightly since the performance gain of more airflow to the engine still doesn’t fully make up for the weight increase (though it does seem to not be as bad as generally said).

But as far as agility is concerned, it offers significantly more lift, as well as maneuver enhancement and decoupled yaw akin to what the F-22 has, since the FCS of both aircraft are based on the combined research of Lockheed and Mitsubishi on CCV aircraft like the F-16CCV and T-2CCV. It also has a larger tail for more pitch authority and a notably lower stall speed compared to the F-16.
Also, while this is not completely War Thunder relevant, it has a G limit of 10.2 compared to the F-16s 9.2, which through override function can be set as high as 12G.

So while the F-16 has a slight speed and acceleration advantage still, I don’t think that’s enough to outweigh the F-2s strengths, especially once we look past the flight model and start looking at weapons or radar as well.

This is lacking the wingtip pylons again.

I think thats a supermarine scimitar tbh.

The Marut was the earliest in Asia designed to go supersonic, but poor engine choice prevented it from doing so (1961)

If we’re talking first license-built/copied design, then the Chinese and their J-6/Mig-19 (1959)

If modified from an existing design, then the Chinese J-8 (1969)

If completely domestic, then the Japanese and the T-2 (1971)

Clearly F-22

Supermarine swift and (especially) scimitar, which had the two pilot probes on the wings.
