The Milwaukee /Murmansk isn’t a surprise. Hope she gets her full set of secondaries but not the rust and rats.
I would have expected the He177A-5/R1 rather than the A-3/R3 as the base model is already in the game.
I’m sure the community will have a very reasonable and accepting response to this battlepass.

Compared to the A-5 we have, the He-177 A-3/R3 uses the weaker DB-606 engines but other than that, they seem very similar. There’s also nothing stopping the A-5 we have from using the Hs 293.

Specs of the HE177 A3/R3. So the only differnce besides the HS 293 is that this variant is lacking the the MG151 at bottom ventral gondola
AESA already is in the game with ASRAD-R and PESA with Pantsir.
So the game is ready for it, from a technical perspective.

I have checked three separate sources, all state they had the DB-606 engines.

Well, the AESA we have is more of a PESA pattern, PESA we have on a few more things: Tor, ZA-35 Super Etendard.
And we also have AESA/PESA on ZSU-37-2 and ZSU-23-4/M4 for some reason.

There’s no reason for them to be behind a battlepass though. The He 177 A-5 we have should already have them.

Why make a new 3D model for a reward if you can recycle what’s already in the game?
Both BP rewards are existing vehicles with some new weapons and a fresh coat of paint.

Yiu have it backwards.
The in game He-177 is an A-5, the new one is an A-3 so will actually require more effort.
The side note, on warthunder live thare are also some pictures of an experimental HL 131V “quadmount” manned tail turret, with four MG 131 13mm machine guns, fitted to a Heinkel He 177A-3

Expect it to be a future premium, which would explain the unusual decision to money on the A-3 model for the HS slinger rather than a cheaper A-5 mod.
Who knows, maybe the TT will get a bomber A-3 and a A-5 carrier on the future completing the circle.
