Again, we run into the problem of how current Naval is a PvP team deathmatch lobby where the biggest always wins

So anything worthwhile found/announced yet?
Haven’t checked in here in a bit so figured I’d ask

nothing no, just some talking about naval

Exactly, that’s why I don’t get the glorification of EC within the Naval community.

Also- even if you manage to get on a new match; if you are unlucky (mass-targeted, ammo-racked…) and don’t manage to get enough SP for a 7.0 BB on your first spawn, forget about it for the rest of the match.

now imagine subs and Carriers there

that’d be the most fun game mode in the entire game

Main thing I don’t like about Naval EC is that since I have 5.7 US and British Naval, I could spend about 5-10 minutes just trying to get somewhere, just to be sniped by a 7.0 Russian or German BB.
I know the simple solution is “Just get better ships” but still
Have been finding “joy” in low tier coastal though for the most part, just trynna get the Canadian Boats

As eager as I am to talk about naval, I will admit I haven’t played nearly as much naval or naval EC as some of you have. Still I see how much potential there is in EC modes, not just for naval but for air and ground also. It’s not better than quick action and shouldn’t replace it, but as an option. If handled well I think more people would play it.

Yes it’s still a flawed game mode, if the main focus weren’t PvP then maybe this would be less of an issue. Also map design and weather conditions are certainly lacking, it would be cool to have rain storms and fog to alter sightlines in certain areas of the map to provide a large map but also limit the fighting range.

It’s also where I go to get the chance of flying aircraft in EC with Air RB /Air AB control scheme. Nothing beats taking off in a strategic bomber on one side of the British channel and crossing it to your target and coming back again :D

Something else that I think most havent considered yet with the intro of subs. But I think a LOT of people would really enjoy the ASW aspect of the game. I know I have more fun these days in Destroyer/Light cruisers anyway and with proper ASW warfare, That would only increase. I suspect many would probably swap from BBs to ASW. To the point where subs might actually be under-powered

Ngl I agree.
Also just from me messing around in Test Sails/Drives, a Night Naval battle would be great.
More or so just due to the fact it’d be Star Wars 2.0
Night mixed with Rain or Storm

god think about the possibilities that naval EC holds

Example
Map: Channel

team 1 spawns northwest together with a convoi and North east on a port
objective: Protect the convoi and protect the port

team 2 spawns southwest and Far east has to obviously sink the convoy and block the port

midgame the weather changes, a storm appears, could even be based on team performance

could have continuously changing spawn points and alternative objectives depending on the outcome of a previous one

Fixed it for you. Overhauled air EC and proper ground and naval EC would do so much for the QoL of the game

That would be actually cool.

I dont play naval but i would like this

We’ve got the map

channel map
We just need better implementation of PvE aspects and objectives, as well as giving the smaller ships another purpose than just shooting things.

Take my money, snail!

Naval players, non-naval players, doesn’t matter

At the end of the day we all know deep within us that boats and huge waves are cool 😎

Ok, I think that’s a little too much xD

I already played a “match” that consisted of sailing for 35 minutes without even getting close to engagement ranges, before I left, I can’t imagine how it would be on such a map!

There are spawn locations that start you right next to enemy convoys and such, if you want to start blasting right away

But personally I think it’s quite chill to set sail in a certain direction, and just watch the waves go by. Isn’t that what ships usually do?

so whats happening today then

It doesn’t make Gaijin any money, sadly

IMO naval combat should be all about sailing and positioning, giving you a “moment to yourself” where you can just appreciate the scenery and your ship would be great.

Then naval matches will take even longer…
And the rewards are still terrible… So that wont help…
