ASRAAM lacks datalink (or at least that we know of) so you couldn’t guide it past the launch, it uses LOAL + IOG instead, but using PIRATE it can be launched ‘passively’ as can any IR but the advantage of PIRATE is that its intended as a primary sensor deliberately designed because the UK believed that Soviet stealth and EW would make their radars ineffective, therefore its comparable in effectiveness to the radar sets of the time that it was conceived.
You could however guide something like an AMRAAM all the way in without it going active/pitbull using the 2-Way datalink function unique to PIRATE and Typhoon which most other aircraft lack either lacking missiles with 2-way datalink or lacking 2-way datalink . This means you could ‘stealth’ launch from 100km’s away and give no warning unless the other aircraft has MAWS which is surprisingly rare, even the newest F-15EX does not have MAWS yet and they’re not even sure if they will fit it (though fitted for but not with is an option as the blisters are there but you get my point).

I love and hate this vehicle, more specifically the extremely tall turret ring. Some add on armor around the frontal part of the ring to smooth it out would be great lol

At least Belgium makes up for it with the Leopard 1A5BE MEXAS, which unless I’m forgetting any others is for sure one of the coolest looking Leopard 1 variants to me.

No need to shoot the turret ring. The turret has no armor to speak of so you can just lolpen it everywhere.

Noticeably lacking a rank 8 premium last patch.
2 more patches this year. Including the December one which to my best guess is a money maker for them with all that Christmas spending floating around.
With potentially F/A-18’s and/or EFT’s alongside some Su-30’s for many nations getting passed around we might see another one of those “6 premium packs in one patch” sorta thing.
Gotta say though, kinda expected China to already have one. Two J-11’s and a J-10 to grind out? Same for Russia. China TT is even heavier at the top now than Russia, which is also overdue for a rank 8 imo. They might drop them all at once as a marketing Strat. If they really wanted to sell packs when they became needed they could’ve just copy pasted but it almost seems like they are waiting for something.

And what does china get a little attacker, which would rattle a few Chinese players abit.
Imho the JF-17 should’ve been premium but yea wouldn’t surprise me if we see a J-11 premium.

Cant kill a single base with 1 full bombload, just 16 flares, terrible unguided rockets.
The only thing nice about it; are the magics, if they hit and not get flare hungry (which they really, really are).
And the bombs are so bad, you have to get a direct hit on a tank. Since they are 250lbs.
So yea like I’ve said most chinese would view this as an insult compared to what other nations got.
With the new J-10 being at 13.7 and no doubt moved to 14.3 at some point it would make sense for an early F-16 or something
Like I said, they aren’t in the last patch.
Also, if the leak is accurate in terms of aircraft type then it’s the earlier version that would not be rank 8.
China, USSR, and other nations, deserve a proper rank 8 premium. Something good in air to air combat with some multirole potential.
This is not even half of what they could get.
Edit: and its the Netherlands only - Belgium hasnt been added to this version.
