What attack aircraft would you expect with them?
To me, it’s been nearly a year since the last update that truly appealed me xD
December 2023… that was the last time we received Rank VIII MBTs… I crave for Rank VIII MBTs!
Gaijin sold them as a huge deal yet we only got like 3 real Rank VIII MBTs over the year; the rest are either mismodelled and poorly implemented additions, or just old Rank VIIs that were put on Rank VIII. I have been waiting for more actual Rank VIII MBTs ever since December 2023…
So my wait for content hasn’t been of a month, but of nearly a year by now.
I’ve also been waiting for a non-DOA, competitive American Battleship since 2021, so… 3+ years xD.

September 2022 with the Harrier Gr7 was probably the last update where we got something that wasnt a disappoint for me. Everything since either came outclassed and DOA and/or in such a bad state you couldnt actually use it for months.

IIRC the A-10 was never equipped with the 9x, its current best missile is the 9M.
It was just a guess. I cant think of any other platform other than an A-10 that would be reasonably balanced with Gen 5 IR though

I hope that if we do get these 5th gen missiles on attack aircraft then we see BRs that are affected by loadouts. But I can absolutely see Gaijin adding 2 versions, one with 9M’s/R-73’s as their best missiles and a second version with their respective 5th gen missile. I hope this doesn’t happen but this is Gaijin we’re talking about.

It might be needed and yes, I would except an appropriate BR for them. Though, that beng said. Im doubting they’ll be even cloe to IRL performance.

and not really all that OP (strong yes, but not super OP, especially when limited by no radar or HMS)
Yeah and given that a lot of information on 5th gen missiles is classified Gaijin can basically make it their performance as they see fit

I think enough is known, but yes, there will certianly be some guesstimation going on
(but not looking forward to the “the Russian engineers could only get X range out of the R-74 and so we dont beleive how the British engineers got 40km range out of the ASRAAM and so we are limiting it to X range” dev-blog)

It also would basically be added only on the tornado F3 late, which isn’t exactly the best dogfighter. It should have been already added (without infrared imaging obviously)
