From what I remember it was someone trying to nerf the J-8F by stating that the type 1492 - working on the same priciple of the EL-2032/M - cannot guide CW missiles ie SARH, with a source suggesting that the kurnass 2000 cannot. And then the sparrows on the kurnass 2000 and J-8F are gone.
If the holy scrolls are correct, then yes.

theoretically it’s right, you need modified radar mode or modified missile seeker to use SARH without CW irradiator.
though later, after J-8F get it’s PL-12, it’s found in a TV show that J-8F still able to use PL-11. but the show comes too late.
now i am starting to get bored as well

Kurnass 2000s are in theory AMRAAMs capable as some of us discussed here for the last few major patches, basically the peace icarus 2000 from HAF capable of AMRAAMs witht he same radar blah blah. But by the time it came IDF/AF is not in a shortage of ARH launching platform, so it is very hard to find photo evidences.

The only thing the Kurnass 2000 can possibly be given by gaijin is a Dash HMD or Python 4s. It isn’t ever going to get the Derby, Aim-120A/B, or any radar missile for that matter.

Anything that was added in last 2 updates will be excluded from the sales
