Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

oh i love the starstreak kinda prefer them vs the adats

The ability to outspeed any AGM is a good experience, on helicopters they also shred most AAs, 2-shot vollies are enough to kill most targets.
Up until season 3 2024 I am the designated AHMK1 pilot in SQB and its immensively pressuring as if I take out the pantsir the game is 1/3 in our hands
Also gen 3 thermals and 40x zoom

If you want ASEAN Starstreak then you’re in luck!

Ppsh give me blowpipe

This aint the Falklands anymore lad

Might have to do with the missile having an intercept angle and isn’t boresight pointing to the aircraft?
Or because now you’re slightly outrunning it?

Dunno, just guessing here from the top of my head.

the Vamtac can only fire startstreack, i was referencing other 4x4

While Malaysia only uses Starstreak with it, Indonesia uses Martlet missiles too

Plot twist: martlet missiles are accessible to SEA(Japan) before the UK
But still, the martlet is a cool thing, multirole and better at anti-heli, yet Japan still needs an anti-fixed wing AA

It can also use the martlet and mix them too.

I hope not, both would seem more reasonable.

I’d say a better anti-heli SPAA is a godsend compared to the current Type 81, since Gaijin implemented optical imaging as optical contrast. Helicoters can just fly below Gaijins interference limit of 50m (their “simulation” of the contrast of ground being picked up by the traditional contrast seeker and interfering with the targets signature), and be completely invulnerable outside of IR range which is much lower, while still being able to fight themselves.

I am not sure about how type 11 tan-sam works, but I have remembered vaguely about it works by ARH, it should be able to perform as a competitive anti-fixed wing AA. However I am also not sure can it take action independently.
Partial independence should be adquate. An envisioned AA battery such as chappral or as modern as 2S38 should have a radar, but they can fight normally without.

am i right in saying that the martle missile has more anti armor than the star streak as i have seen vids of them fired at small boats and it ruines them

The martlet features a 3kg blast-frag warhead, that is the equivilant of slapping a 3OF26 at a boat.

so the wiki artical also talks about FFLMM/Fury which it says is a modification of the LLM/martlet which turns it into a glide bomb but it is only proposed to be used on UAV’s

Type 11 does use ARH, it’s a 15km AESA ARH missile that is a further development of the Type 81 missile. it can be independently used in the same way Type 81 can, though without external radar there is no way to give it datalink input after launch, meaning the missile either needs an initial lock, or will fly unguided and search for a target mid flight.

The Type 81 also has an ARH missile that is currently missing from the game, it functions essentially the same as well, but uses a PESA radar and has a slightly lower range of 14km. This missile is also the same missile already in game, only with a different seeker head.

Does the missile have IFF or anything like that? Otherwise it might go for teammates

Isnt the ARH missile in the files and has sat there since the 81s introduction?

yes

idk why gaijin doesnt add the ARH considering what be the type 81c is at… also is that ARH missile like… all aspect or what?
