imo all vehicle types should be usable on all modes on certain maps

just imagine using a PT boat on Tunisia or an AVRE on Franz Josephs Land to take out the bunkers

or what about SPAAs in Air RB

Seems like every day there is someone in this thread asking for Chinese naval lately.
Kinda feel they should just add what little there is. He specifically said there aren’t any plans so don’t think they’re holding back for a grand entry of a large tree when modern ships are here. That would be a plan and he said there weren’t any plans.

I just test flied the North Korean Shenyang F-5, however it still uses Chinese voicelines.

You said its the only Korean vehicle.
Also some TT migs for Russia have standard North-Korean skins.

Well the thing is if it’s cool, it isn’t cool enough for LOTS of people, at least as far as i know.

Well, South Korean. The F-5 still uses Chinese voicelines, meaning the Korean voicelines were reserved for SK clients where the client language is selected. This could also potentially explain why there are Yugoslav and Ukrainian flag in-fines as well.
I think the reason for the MiG-15s to have North Korean roundels is to represent their historical situation where Soviet pilots flew MiGs in North Korean roundels in disguise. But yeah, these are a lot ahead of actual Korean voicelines.

We get either a leak or a devblog today, or this update might be coming later than we expect.

I know what you mean.
I only played some naval to prepare for Carriers and Subs. That was years ago and haven’t touched since.
WW2 ships lobbing shells at each other is cool…but not really for me to play. I’d want either ww2 carrier and sub gameplay OR just all round modern naval warfare with ASM’s, helicopter carriers, regular carriers, etc etc

The problem with naval is that, realistic naval combat is just not fun. The engagement distance is far from realistic, but everyone lobbing shells towards that one dude who stands out the most is totally the most historical thing.

Yeah I might retract my thing on the modern naval battles if I actually played it.
The WW2 Carriers and subs is something I definitely wanna see though. Am open to Gaijin making some realism compromises, like they already are, to make it more fun.

There are a lot of work to do. Firstly, the flight formation AI needs to be redesigned, since practically speaking with the ludicrous AA accuracy of war thunder ships, it takes a squadron of CAS to do significant damage towards enemies.
Maps needs to be redesigned for subs to be played. Carriers are less of a factor.
BR needs to be streched. Naval is the most compressed region, air seems balanced compared to it.
Game modes needs to be rethinked. Conquest is the easiest to win as well as to lose, it takes someone with less ego to spawn a PT boat and take the cap to secure a win.

Yeah definitely. There are also many ways they can implement carriers.
I think some commands were mined so it seems you’d control several aircraft.
Now the question, is it going to be like current mechanic for launching floatplanes except then with some AI around you (like in mission editor) or you only have AI aircraft and never directly control one yourself.

And then even between those two we can see different implementations.

Time will tell and based on mines it is being worked on. Whatever way they’ll chose to implement it, I’m interested!
Meanwhile they can just add seaplane tenders and use the current floatplane mechanic but then with more aircraft.

Yeah I’d say it’s possible. Due but not overdue.

This was already a feature in singleplayer histocial battle modes. However, there are no features for one to command multiple planes simutaneously like it was in WOWS.
