I really don’t care about the autocannon variants, all I care about is the ATGM carrier variants and the ZT3 seems like the much better weapon, if the Javelin works like the Spike

oh dear lad, the thing wrong with Ajax is the “General Dynamics” bit
As usual, we get screwed by American self interest and get a half arsed weapon system as opposed to a not-at-all arsed one

That is entirely separate, I understand you are keen to dog on the UK tank industry, believe me I do it very regularly myself and I would gladly list the stupid CR3 decisions, however you have completely ignored every geopolitical and economic factor.
Firstly both offered domestic UK production. Leopard 2A8 didn’t.
Secondly both funded the UK industry. Leopard 2A8 didn’t.
Thirdly, one replaced a 60 year old vehicle entirely, the Leopard 2A8 vs CR3 didn’t.
Fourthly, Leopard 2A8 is considerably more expensive than CR3 ‘upgrade’.
Fifthly, neither sold out the UK IFV/AFV industry, Leopard 2A8 did.
The concessions I will make, is that Leopard 2A8 is a better tank (just based off 2A7V), CR3 should have been a total redesign, Leopard offers more modular improvements and frankly Rheinmetall and KMW are better at independantly developing vehicles and upgrades as we all know BAE will sit twiddling their thumbs until they get another £3bn which is of course £2bn more than they need to develop the technology being asked for.
But thats like Germany selling out its F126 Frigates because the Type 26 is better. Like yes, but why would you sell out an entire industry for… nothing.

No the javelin has a direct attack mode which would fix the glaring problems the spike has…
So in that instance it would be better as its less likely to catch on the barrel
this is R&R everythings off topic here, besides maybe the last 1-2 weeks before an update
