Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Isn’t it a country like Vietnam or Myanmar?
These two are also in ASEAN.

well, most of you listed are just export customers, for aligned nation, it would be North Korea

not much choices from Vietnam, most are just USSR vehicles, and the T-54M better goes to Israel

Not like they need to add all Asean countries tbh

to the labor camp for reeducation it is, i dont make the rules tovarish

RWR AN/ALR-45(V) for A-7E 80’s tech in USA tech tree ?

A-129 International (p) only RWR older AH129CBT and AH-129D

Gaijin add NVG on Sea Harrier FA.2 ? good job

Definetly the most pressing issue with the FA2. Using it in all these night battles without NVG was a major issue

The reason why they are leaving things vague is that there must be something they cannot reveal. Especially if it is something related to the news…

Continuing from the previous paragraph.
I think ASEAN’s accession to CN is a catastrophic thing
First of all, let’s think clearly, what is the meaning of a subtree? How are subtrees chosen?

  1. Political/military/historical, very closely linked:
Sweden: Finland/Denmark/Norway ------ are both friends of the Nordic Union
United Kingdom: Australia/Canada/India ------ Commonwealth, former belonging
  2. Geopolitics is approaching, filling the TT gap:
    France: Belgium/Netherlands/Luxembourg
    Italy: Hungary/Romania
  3. Language Region:
Germany: Switzerland ------ has a high proportion of German, and it is also related in various aspects

Most of our existing subtrees are designed to fill in the gaps, to increase TT’s competitiveness and make it more attractive while maintaining the uniqueness of TT as much as possible.

Okay, now that we’ve looked at the meaning of the subtree, let’s take a look at the “ASEAN subtree”
First of all, China has a complete military equipment system, self-developed and self-produced, completely Made In China, rich in variety, complete models, enough to fill China’s TT. If a subtree can exist, the options should be:
Pakistan ------ exports a large number of Chinese-made military products: Khalid, JF-17, for example
North Korea------The military field is closely cooperating and is a historical ally
Laos and Myanmar ------- a large number of Chinese-made vehicles, more improved
These sub-trees/vehicles have one thing in common: Chinese technology, made in China, adapted to the Chinese system, and Chinese flavor and characteristics.

Let’s look at ASEAN
There is no close historical relationship,
There is no close and high level of cooperation at the political and military levels.
Not a Core Ally,
Military equipment is not a Chinese characteristic

The purpose of adding subtrees is to expand and fill in the gaps while maintaining the uniqueness of the TT

And the ASEAN sub-tree, it doesn’t fit at all

There is no shortage of these vehicles in the Chinese TT, and these vehicles are not the product of Chinese technology, these vehicles are completely Western technology, which is very conflicting with the characteristics of the Chinese TT and is not in harmony.

With such a plan, it would be a disaster of balance/rationality

It would be more reasonable if they were put into the Japan TT. Japan has no more vehicles to add to the TT and is about to face stagnation, and Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Japan have close cooperation in military equipment, and it is obviously more reasonable to join JPTT.

And China’s TT deserves to be: North Korea, Pakistan, Laos, and Myanmar.

Even, the Chinese TT will be full in future versions without subtrees (if Gaijin is not lazy lmao)
Six lines, all of which can be filled, are very rich in vehicles.
ASEAN’s plan is really too bad, we only have five lines at the moment, and there are still a lot of potential Chinese-made vehicles that have not yet joined the WT, the emergence of ASEAN is very bad, which will squeeze out the space for China’s self-developed vehicles, I am very much against it.

Just with how big the pushback is, and that they know it’s there and that they still haven’t said anything disputing it just reinforces to me that it is real.

just what I want to say

it should already happen if not that war, of course, no f16

If we see a wave of ASEAN NATO gear going to China, would that actually be all that surprising?

Their default to bodging ground trees is adding soviet T-series tanks. Look at Britain with theT-90. Even in air, they “bodged” Britains lack of “dogfighter” at 12.0 with a Mig-21 (though I sitll argue that the F3 is better than the Mig-21 in every respect)

Would you at all be surprised if they bodged the Su-27s issues with an F-16

Just… if they’re guessing the ASEAN stuff what else are they?

The ONLY time that would be acceptable, is if its part of a number squish. Halve the SL gains and Halve the SL costs. If the numbers are just getting too high at top tier for reasonable balance/fun. Many games have done that in the past.

But if its just a flat 50% nerf. My god. They really want to just kill the game.
