Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 2)

ADATs and Skink are Canadian

F18 is American.

T-90 say hello. (and what they said in that Dev blog)

Canadian ADATS the UK has no ties to but they still have.

CF-18 is Canadian

ADATS is build on M113 and Skink on a Sherman chassis

they’re still Canadian and so is the CF-18

And the AIM and Australian and the C2A is Canadian.

Yet, they aren’t in the British tree.

CF-18 is Canadian.

“Canadian Forces” is what “CF” stands for.

They go to who ever gajin thinks needs it and US doesn’t need two f/a18s

Yep, which is why Hutner went to Germany

I’m aware that the C in CF-18 means Canada.

That doesn’t change the point. See M1A1 AIM and Leopard C2A.

Just trying to save you all the heart break if it doesn’t come to game.

You cannot break, whats already broken

We have narrowed down to two options
1 SAAF Gripen with a non historical loadout due to its ir being too advanced and its pod also being too advanced
2 Cf18 which can have a historical loadout but wont likely come if Americans dont get the f/a18 as well

I’d be quite happy with either

Haven’t we seen some nations get American planes before them?

I know it’s unlikely unless the US gets the F-18 but the is a small chance for the UK to get it without the US getting it right?

AV8B + and the F5 i believe
Doesn’t guarantee anything

Considering some of the aircraft in the initial production batches were aircraft built for Canada, possibly.

The only example I know of is AV-8B+

Not exactly a well-known aircraft, so most US players don’t even know or care.

Funny thing is they still don’t have it

Excuse me, SM*

Yup.

I wouldn’t use that as precedent however.

If Gaijoob did that with F-15 or F-18 there would be a riot, they’re simply too iconic. (Unlike the AV-8B +)

You have to add though that the F-5A was way more iconic to Taiwan than to the US.

So it’s only the AV-8B+ vs 9+ examples of the opposite thing happening.
