So thats a dark horse then? Hmm.
Same. I’ve made it clear how excited I would be for that plenty of time now.
It would be a really weird choice to give us right now.
The best outcome: CF-18 from Canada or F/A-18B from Australia.
The C&P outcome: SAAF JAS39C
The most likely outcome: Sea Harrier FA.2
The most insulting outcome: Tornado AOP
Personally Id like the CF-18, cuz that indicates that the subtree isnt just SA anymore.
Sea Harrier FA.2 would be a pretty interesting choice to be honest.
Its dogfight potential is essentially 0 against MiG29s and F16s, but the Blue Vixen radar set would be essentially unnotchable. It would be INSANELY good. Paired with AMRAAM and its instant acceleration, we could see it being fairly good.
Tornado AOP would be DOA though. The Ferranti Foxhunter just doesnt cut it and the airframe is essentially a bomber.
There is no South Africa air sub tree.
My opinion: South Africa and India feel exceptionally out of place in the British tech tree and should just be removed, replaced with Canada which fit the British TTs domestic vehicle designs far closer.
You know what i meant.
SA absolutely could be its own thing.
What you meant is wrong, since there is no South African air sub tree.
On top of the fact the UK can’t take a air sub tree it’s only been 3 months since it was reconfirmed the fate of Canada and Australia not having a home in the UK tree.
I don’t think that enough time to change their tune.
There’s not nearly enough.
I find it incredibly jarring when you’ve got very western boxy designs for tanks and stuff, outfitted in woodland green and black- And then you’ve got some wheeled behemoth in pure SAND. Regardless of the map. You’ve got sand and stick out like a sore thumb. I’d hate SA far less if they didnt just have horrible aesthetic to them and their vehicles were good.
But when compared to what Canada could give us, SA feels like they had a good plan for things like the Rooikat HVM, realised “oh wait its a mockup…” and the sub tree fell apart
I thought the Tornado was going to be saved by the Foxhunter, which had a pretty good reputation in real life. We all saw how that went lol.
India would funny as hell
SA and Canada both could be independent trees. It’s the ANZACs that are iffy.
Neither could, but okay.
British MiG-29 here we come
rooivalk exists.
That’s not a plane, nor is it part of a sub tree.
