I was referring to the fact that many people compare it with the f15, which makes no sense. Compare the mig29 with the f16, the su27 with the f15, the su33 with the f18, the su57 with the f22, that’s make sense.
What Western intceptors have we got to compare it too none come to mind that are that fast
Yeah, that I agree with.
None that fast, but none needed to be that fast in the west. The Mig-25 was built to be that fast to:
- Cover the sheer size of the soviet union at the time
- Intercept the B-70 which flew at Mach 3
The closest equivalents I can think of would be aircraft like the Tornado ADV. Pure interceptors meant for high speed / BVR combat and not really a dogfight

Thats about it I think for A2A fighters operating in Europe. (Yes there is overlap, with multiple nations using the same airframes, but this is a quick and dirty list)
I mean the West abandoned most of them when ICBMs started to become a thing.
A handful was still made after the fact, mostly because the West realized the USSR was still using nuclear bombers.
Imagine being the pilot and going “today i am going to go up.”
Su-24 isn’t even going to do much, only way it matters is if the FM is possibly exaggeratedly better than it was, realistically, and the pylons allow for more than 3 guided bombs. I think given the difference between the Vark, and the capabilities of Fencer in all phases so far, that we’ll need larger bombs too, KAB-1500kr and KAB-1500L. Vark gets 3000lber’s so it’s not even unfair or anything.
That and some sort of work around for, or semi-unrealistic addition to (at least for later Fencers) clouds/lack of thermal imaging for ordnance.

No. MiG-29 was meant to be the gen 4 tactical fighter, and eventually, it became obvious it would be fighting against the F-16.
Su-27 was designed with the F-14, 15, and 16 in mind, but mostly as a counter to the 15 on land, and potentially the 14 at sea, as the 27 was designed a a “heavy fighter/interceptor”.
It’s all in the LPFI/PFI programs that the Communist party of the USSR commissioned.

Also worth comparing it to the Tornado IDS not just the F-111. But It would make sense to see the Su-24 sooner rather than later as its one of the last remaining interdictors that could be added. (the only other being the TSR2)

I think the next nation will be Poland because they can fill it with Soviet C&P like our last 2 nations (even tho they are subtrees)
Tho I’ve made it clear I’d rather Western/British C&P over more Soviet.
I’d rather play 17 Sherman and Churchills again the more Soviet stuff.

I see a Redfor nation over Bluefor nation as the last few have been Bluefor. Currently top tier SB for example is Germany, Soviets and China vs everyone else 99% of the time. And Germany should probably be on the otherside sooner rather than later. (otherwise its going to be Typhoon vs Typhoon soon)
So something that could be Redfor is my guess, so something from South America or Eastern Europe or something like Iran, India or North Korea.
