We’d have to change it from the “Deathmisser’s personal chatroom” thread then.
Do you understand how the Nelson would be played…? The Nelson would be played, by any logical player, by reverse sidescraping around islands - this would enable all 9 16inch guns to fire on a target WHILST having its ammunition protected by the rest of the hull, providing more armour overall. Due to this, the Nelson would be a much later ship to add. the Revenge class and Queen Elizabeth class are perfectly capable vessels that can be added alongside Nagato and Colorado. Gun Calibre does not equal effectiveness as a vessel
Give me the Corgi.
Thinking about it I wouldn’t mind that.
MiG-35 has the option for Zhuk-A/AM which is AESA.
The queen elizabeth class and revenge class could come very quickly one after the other. King George V would then be a great addition before adding Nelson or Rodney
???
We’re on the War Thunder forums, not World of Warships forums. You’re not side scraping, only getting blown up because you’re stationary trying to hump an island. Why do you want Britain to be behind the US and Japan so bad?
They wouldn’t be behind at all - until Nelson gets added, you won’t understand how powerful it’ll be as a vessel. But, hey, don’t say i didn’t warn you. Again, Gun Calibre doesn’t equal ship performance, and the Revenge class especially is EASILY up to the task before Nelson
You are GREATLY overexaggerating Nelson and Queen Elizabeth. Nelson is not that powerful and Queen Elizabeth would get wiped by Colorado, not even Nagato whos better than that still. Putting in Nagato and Colorado but leaving Britain with QE or Revenge is just crazy.
Actually, are you British, perhaps?
Not only am I british, I’ve played British Naval for quite a while, and studied British Naval Vessels extensively. @nathanclawfish is another individual with extensive knowledge on this subject matter, and could provide an even more extensive explanation than myself
also, sidescraping is already a thing in BB naval, a very effective strategy too
I see. Then I believe I have no more to say. I suppose I have no more to say then.
Trust me when I say that Revenge class BB’s and the King George V class should be next, with Nelson as the top of the line
Enlighten us
Let’s just say he came back online then a whole bunch of flags popped at the same time so yea
Not all of them. All early, and most middle Flankers had PESA’s.
They’re good radar’s too. AESA is nice, but people talk about the Myech and it’s offspring (up to even Bars) as if they’re completely crippled.
The biggest advantage AESA even has is jamming resistance, which is useless until(if) Gaijin decides to put jamming mechanics into the game.
Russia is using what works. Once they find a way to mass produce a lighter, more effective AESA radar, it will be introduced into the Russian military. For now, Bars is more than sufficient.
Yeah i know later ones got it but the Russian ones didn’t
I don’t care what order they came in I just have a few I want to have do to another game I play.
Warspite
Bismark
and the only Yank boat Enterprise (CV-6).
most others are in-game already like:
Hood
Graf Spee
odd I thought I had more I wanted.
Yes, because Russia doesn’t have the technology where they want it yet. I’m confident this will change soon.
The Zhuk-A is too heavy, Zhuk-AM will be the AESA of the future, should the MiG-35 production ramp up.
Zhuk-AM was proposed for the Su-27 family of jets as well, but given the geometry and flight characteristics, it would’ve been too invasive to install Zhuk into the Su-27 with how most of the radome/nose cone sections of the Flankers are in inventory.
The weight was also a factor to a degree, which is funny because aside from very long distance radar locks, the biggest reason why China did not want to adopt the Bars radar (PESA) is because it was too heavy for the Su-30MKK’s design as well. China would’ve had to reshape the LERX’s and then install the canards of the Su-30MKI/Su-30SM to balance the plane and that would’ve been too expensive for the Chinese government’s taste.
J-16, which is the most prolific example of the AESA flanker is literally a 100% domestic Chinese built Su-30MKK, so they wouldn’t have been able to install the Bars radar offered for it either, as the same problem would exist there.
Nelson is bae
