This is yet again bunch of irrelevant info that has nothing to do with my question on how Aero being Hungary-owned now should be a problem for the Czechoslovak techtree when all of the aircraft were either developed when the company was still owned by Czechs, used by the Czech/oslovak and Slovak army or both, but OK i suppose…
Are you really trying to compare an attack helicopter with civilian/transport one lmao? And if 200-300km/h is slow for modern battlefield and Viper and Venom should thus be considered obsolete, arent all helicopters obsolete by this logic then? Also, how would speed increased to 500km/h even help modern attack helicopters? Its not like the 200km/h difference will make them invulnerable against manpads that are going 4x the speed. Actually, it would be probably for the worse, as helicopters on modern battlefield usually need to fly low to the ground to evade larger SAMs, and controlling a helicopter flying at low altitude at almost twice the speed then regular one doesnt sound like the best idea (They would also probably be less maneuverable at such speeds)…
I mean his whole shtick is hate boner against Czechoslovakia being independent in any form and that Hungary is clearly superior and Czechoslovak industry is death and useless. Nothing more.
All 3 vehicles other than Moderna are quite easily removable from Soviet TT. Both Su-25K and Mi-24D could be reintroduced as premiums to Czechoslovak TT, M53/59 could be added as well and the one in Soviet TT could have Czechoslovak flag change to Cuban, Libyan or other African Soviet ally which did use it
Pretty much that - his points are like Czechs buy worse stuff than Hungury, Czechoslovakia shoudn’t be TT if Hungury isn’t and Slovakia should go to Italy because Slovakia is historical part of Hungury.
There are few more countries that operated them. Was surprised myself when i saw how many we sold to different countries. And in Yugoslavia, they even manage to shoot down a jet with it which is nice small interesting point.
Is there actually problem with moderna? Is there any reason why it couldn’t stay in USSR to those who own it and then making copy in Czechoslovak or whatever TT that has the Czechoslovak vehicles?
Gaijin will never make a copy of event vehicles nad put it into different TT as a normal vehicle. Luckily for us, there is a Moderna with 2x 20mm Oerlikon on turret.
Spoiler
(Small fact. Only 1 piece of T-72 was used to test both 20mm and 30mm platform.)
Yeah, it’s not coming soon but likely it will come at some point, so we should stop it here. But mainly we’re discussing Czechoslovakia just to beat our Hungarian colegue with my Czech mates
Two CAESAR are destroyed and it’s seen as a dead end system? That’s still a very good record in favor of it. Average of 55km max range is still impressive as well.
The only disadvantage being the it doesn’t have a gun longer then 52 calibers. An L/60 gun wouldn’t be impossible to implement, but doesn’t seem to have been a design priority.
The logistics of the CAESAR is still a strength with endurance operations and it’s assisted loading mechanism, mobility and deployability is still as good as you can get.
I personally don’t mind - I think the occasional off topic detour is healthy and good for discussion. Unfortunately, it’s just a matter of time until the usual suspects are in here bitching and whining about us not discussing exactly what they want us to discuss.
Interesting…i remember asking Smin when we can see KV-1B in Finnish TT when it is after all a Finish tank. And he told me, due to it being a event vehicle, there is a tiny chance that we will see in Finish TT, or if there is, it is very tiny one and it may take several years for it to be added.
