Was gonna say, yeah china has 1 rank 7 premium, while a lot of other nations already have 1 or two. Also by that logic the US and UK don’t need new shiney premiums yet hear we are…
With J-7D seems to be unpopular and PL-9 in the files, it is possible they will take down J-7D and replace with a J-7 or J-8 export variant

Alot of options for China tbh, if we looking at 11.0, some version of the MBT-2000 or VT-4. Hell even something like a Pakistani T-80UD might be on the table as an option for a premium

or they just need to upgrade the J7D missiles, it can use the PL-5C, PL-5E I and PL-8.

Definitely, F-8 textures were found long ago so I’m sure we might see something sooner than later, but I’m more curious about the Ground situation right now. Im worried China might get left in the dust unless we get stuff within this patch or the next

Most of complaints go for having too much Soviet c&p and not having Brazil/Spain as a subtree instead, which was also a popular idea within the Italian community. Italy can have multiple ingenious vehicles, but there are still many gaps, which subtree covers or will cover and most of people understand that. Regarding new planned MBT and IFV for Esercito Italiano there are still just plans.
For now Italy can bring some vehicles to top tier, but not that many and most of them don’t have armor: C2 Ariete and its basically identical prototypes AMV PT2/PT3 (even if it gets APS and devs decide to rework WAR armor to have more realistic KE protection, it’s still hardly a rank 8 material), Centauro 2 (no armor compared to mbts, poor turret rotation, though can be a rank 8 light tank), M60A3 Leonardo (upgraded M60), Ariete Hitfact 2 (testbed of Centauro 2 turret on the Ariete chassis, a weird mix with poor armor), Dardo OWS 30 (unmanned turret with 30 mm cannon, Spike missiles, some additional protection), Freccia OWS 30 and VBA (same module as for new Dardo, but on wheels and VBA is its amphibious variant).
In general I think subtree addition for Italy was a positive move and people actually like it, apart from some rare “overpatriots”.
Idk my opnion on the J7D remains the same especially with as buffed as the Magic has gotten

Yeah, if they add PL-5C and PL-8 (or even PL-8B) it should be more competitive

For China ground, similar to some countries which do not have much choices left that are actually upgrades on current top tier, I think Gaijin will just put the current top tier MBT to tier 8 and just buff it in other ways e.g. better rounds, shorter reload time
