the radar slave mode should work with both radars tho
this isn’t exactly a new feature and I believe the F1 can already do that
in radar slave mode the IR missile doesn’t listen to a Target illuminator like a SARH missile but rather the radar tells the missile at wich degree in horizontal and Vertical axis the Target is at and the IR seeker of the missile then looks that direction
I was talking more about programming architecture that was changed over the years probably many times. I don’t really know exactly how it works but don’t you need a proper electronicts in addition to proper missile pylons?
the only thing you need is an electric communication interface and that one is already required to use the missile so if the missile can already be used then it should also be able to do Radar slave mode
The UK can get both CL Sabres that we bough of both MK.4 and MK.6 variants which the RAF used and Folland Gnat ‘Sabre Slayers’.
In the 1940-60’s the UK genuinely had an aviation industry fully capable of competing with the giants of the US and USSR and we actually gave the USSR the engines to be able to make the Mig-15’s.
If its something on the list then its the Gripen, if not then possibly CF-18 but we really don’t know. It entirely depends on how nice Gaijin wants to be.
