Someone already did the calculations for the performance it would likely have in game. It would be almost identical in performance as M829A1.

Did the missile industry just stop advancing IR missile design because “oh well flares exist now, all current missiles get distracted by flares thus so will all future more advanced missiles”? No they didn’t, they used their brain and came up with IRCCM.

Yeah, the XF-2A getting AAM-4s would be easy to justify as well, the Yak-141 sets a great precedent there
One thing to note is XF-2A and early F-2s need a transmitter to use AAM-4s which was only installed on late F-2s. but as KhorneFlakez1337 said with things like the Yak-141 Gaijin could just add them anyway. but then you have worry about the whole AESA radar thing which i’m not sure how gaijin feels about it.

Ya, my point was more, I’d rather get some plausible XF-2A than complete fictional AJ upgrade lol. Especially for Fox 3s because they’re the A block 10 model and not part of any upgrade packages since it never materialized.

Well, it’s also more plausible that we get AIM-120As on F-15J than both AJ & XF-2.
Partially cause XF-2 might have more difficult to gather information than production aircraft in the timeframe needed for 12.3/12.7.

Possible, however the R-77 there is using the symbol for the IR variants of the R-2X missiles instead of the radar one, so I am skeptical. Where did you get this from?
