There is the Stalingrad battlecruiser w/ it 's longer-barreled guns, which we saw leaked in 2.7.0.55. And the Sevestopol ( sistership to Kronshtadt ) which was planned to receive the 380mm guns also " exists ".
Top of line battleships maybe, but we’ve already seen that other kinds of warship are in development - the plan could easily be to move into other vessel types once a techtree runs out of options for this particular kind.
Maybe even before, after all we moved into cruisers well before finishing top-end destroyers, and then battleships before finishing w/ cruisers.
Certainly not, they were never built and the american techtree has nothing close to a shortage of options for ships to succeed the Iowa-classe in capability.
We might, there 's already a few ingame and numerous other kinds of homing torpedoes besides. Plus the unused pattern-running types sat in the files.
However we haven’t seen any development of torpedo homing mechanics since the Silent Thunder event, though they’re still in the files. The Type 7 sub in the Battle of the Atlantic event had some of the codelines that were used to interact w/ homing torps in Silent Thunder, so it might be that homing torpedo introduction would coincide w/ Submarine introduction.
Personally I don’t think the GB techtree will be receiving any incomplete battleships, their early lead in the types of ships that succeeded them means they can probably just transition into those alongside their last ( completed ) BB 's, then out and above BB 's completely w/o needing incomplete ships inbetween.

The Tornado GR1 missing stuff isn’t limited to the GR1 for instance. Gaijins priorities obviously are somewhere else entirely, they don’t seem to care enough to put the effort in to work on the real “minor nation” problems

I can’t think of a ship that could succeed the Iowa’s other than the South Dakota (1920) which would be on the same sort of level yes it would have 3 more guns, but it would have worse armour due to it being un-angled and the deck armour being less. Gaijin has also previously said they will consider paper ships and given the US is a big 3 nation, I have a hunch they’d consider the Montana.
Britain doesn’t have any of its early lead Battleships currently, I don’t expect that to be changed. Either way the rule applies, if its laid it can be added, G-3’s were very probably laid, Lion’s were also laid, Lions had their design revised and were re-ordered in 1944 too. Vanguard does not stack up well against even Iowa, sure she had better armour but she has 1 less gun and the 8 she has are lower calibre. Unless they add in storms and long range maps where radar FCS is more important Vanguard won’t stack up.
Precisely. Which, if it was only a few things, I’d agree. But it’s been like this for about the past 4 or 5 years. Every new addition just feels rushed or half finished and/or came too late to be of any use.

Submarines are a non-starter. But carriers and missile ships are an option. Problem is neither of those two are going to be very good without map changes. There’s no way a carrier can have any use when its airwing takes off well within AA range. And missile ships have a similar problem that they’re all unarmored (except for a few post-war conversions) and funny enough, the LoS breaks that naval could do with more of right now would hinder them tremendously.
Sevastopol was also considered for carrier conversion too.
The soviets considered converting the battlecruiser Izmail to a carrier in the 20s and actually started work on it but stopped as they no longer could make the engines after the privations of the civil war iirc.
The battleship Frunze was also considered for conversion in the 20s.
As for aircraft, ive heard of “yak-9k” in several sources though i dont know of this is the 9k we know with the 45mm cannon or if it denotes an earlier navalized version in the vein of su27k and mig29k. They seem to have had a torpedo bomber in the works, but it was never built. However, it does appear possible that Bariev Be-4 small attack flying boats could be fired from catapults via a sledge, so theoretically that could have been the strike arm.
I mean aircraft carriers could be interesting but I have no idea how they’d implement them?
Like would it be a case of like player-AI controlled vehicles, so you can hop into your Stingray and have 3 of them form up and then select a target for them to attack?
If carriers were added then things like GMS’s could be a good follow on but so I can’t even imagine how they’d work.
To be honest, I will not have any interest on the next update. Smin1080p already ended the discussion, most of the top tier players will leave the game until something is really interesting OR at least make them happy to spend time and money on this boring game at this moment, to be honest, they are just copy and paste thing again and again.
