I agree, though the exact balancing of submarines and counterplay is a whole another topic. Personally I’d like to say that EC seems like the way forward for naval, and leave it at that.
Wouldn’t want to stray too far off track here, or the thread police will get us :-)

Which version of Dagor were they using so far?
Maybe ill load it up for the first time in a year.
(Theyre shooting themselves in the foot if they still havent released that game on steam.)

Well, apparently Enlisted is also using Dagor 6, the changes between the images on that preview site do look rather minor tho. They’re probably using Enlisted as a testbed for these graphics upgrades again

Mirage 50 or as you said IIIEX/NG would be lovely.
im pretty sure the game does have a horizon, its just really high up
off topic but one thing to notice is that the moon is lighted up by the sun from the correct direction
