Why the ping for that list ?
there are 7 aircraft carriers in that list.
what does this mean? carriers are going to be added in a unique way on mobile?
I see 2 carriers per nation there.
Not soon, there’s something extremely important to Japanese battleship development missing between Fuso and Yamato.
Then would be another big mistake by Gaijin as they described HMS King George V(1942) as (1945)
Seriously Gaijin? Do you think this is 1944 version?
This is 1944 version darn it!
The additional triple 25mm mounts were added after Leyte in 1944, not in 1945. Gaijin is correct.
No. Although it starte on November 25th 1944, it ends in January 3rd 1945. So it’s genuine 1945 version.
No, that’s still a 1944 modification. It was planned and started, and most of it happened in 1944. Its correct either way, just depends on personal preference.
Gib Nagato please
I thought you might be interested in knowing what the Exocet is for.
They’re going to be added yes, but maybe not unique to WTM - the controls for their airgroups which were previously added to the files of Mobile recently appeared in expanded format here in WT: ( https://github.com/gszabi99/War-Thunder-Datamine/blob/master/gui.vromfs.bin_u/wt/config/hud.blkx#L2580 )
Some of the aircraft carriers we have here in WT now first appeared in Mobile, too - HMS Illustrious(87) and USS Lexington(CV-2). The latter has an interesting discrepancy between what it 's named as there and how it appears here: In WTM her refit is named as being the 1929 one, while here in WT we can see that she 's represented in her late 1941/early 1942 appearance:
The ship ( and her airgroup composition ) changed considerably between those years, so it’ll be interesting to see what she 's implemented as !
When time comes, they will be the first to get 16’’ BB. Look at Japan now. While some nations never get their 14’’ BB, Japan get all of them!
I wonder if gaijin will give britain HMS Lion after they have added things like Nelson or Rodney and Iowa to the US tree, since Lion has a traditional layout of 16inch guns instead of what the Nelson class has
oh god some of the late war carriers would be crazy, like USS Bunkerhill or HMS Implacable
Well nobody that used 14-inch guns is without them (aside from England, but KGV is a hard one to balance because of it). US and UK should’ve received more battleships though. Nobody else can get anything while they’re still way behind.
Agree with GB but no with USA. They get plenty of ships continuosly while GB, USSR, and France gets almost nothing. USSR is still competitive with Kommuna/Marat so maybe people can wait little longer(though it would be time for Izmail), but France and GB is very problematic right now
God I just want the Queen Elisabeth class, the peak of Britain’s super dreadnaughts of ww1
USS Midway(1945) had an airwing theoretically as large as 130 aircraft at the time 🤯 And HMS Implacable is in here too.
I think that will depend on how large the gap between GB 's completed battleships and the other kinds of ship which will exceed them in BR ends up being. imo they’re not likely, since the RN 's early lead in Aircraft Carriers and Guided Missile Destroyers/Cruisers could provide them w/ a softer transition between the classifications than other techtrees, which have much more abrupt cutoffs to what they can field.
The US has a lot of cruisers for some reason but comparatively few battleships. Especially since Japan, Italy, Germany, and Russia are all at the end of their battleships until the next tech jump (that’ll never happen because for whatever reason Gaijin is scared of it). The UK isn’t quite as bad I think but still missing Queen Elizabeth and Revenge. And France of course is just a joke for no reason other than Gaijin seemingly being too lazy to copy-paste Lorraine with a 5th turret.
i hope if we did get Implacable it would be with her see hornet wings but that is just wishful thinking lol
Just like submarines, I don’t even know how carriers would work without some kind of change to the way battles work right now. Spawning ~16k yards away from a battleship and having your whole airgroup downed at takeoff and flight deck rendered inoperable due to gunfire within the first 60 seconds doesn’t sound fun.
The US should have the best 14"s already (Other then KGV I think cant remember) but for some reason Gaijin wont give them their war time reload :p
