Can you give me the post where he said it?

Yes the ETPS and QinetiQ are partially funded by the MoD, that doesn’t change the situation though

I didn’t dig very deep so I may be wrong, but from what I found, ETPS is a branch of the MoD, not just partially funded by it.

It’s that selectiveness again :P

It was partially sold off in 2001, since then it is a partnership between the MoD and QinetiQ

So yea We own part of it still

it just easier with SAAF one though

The Barak I would have been easier than the Barak II, also, yet we got the latter.

That does not change the situation revolving around the Gripen, it’s only partially government owned and we are still talking about a unarmed Jet Fighter that is being operated only for research purposes by aspiring test-pilots and aeronautical engineers

Barak I wouldn’t carry radar missiles iirc

The Barak I is just a C variant, and the block 50 in the American tree never carried AIM-7s nor could the ones in American service guide them.

So do the Alpha Jets and the A-4s owned by Top Aces.
How does that matter if they don’t use it for combat or any kind of combat research/training?

Barak I is Block 30 while Barak II is Block 40 which makes a difference

They could tho. American Block 50 and Israeli Block 40 use the same radar set which allowed for AIM-7F+ missiles guidance by MPRF radar mode without the need for CW illuminator. It was proven on many occasions now.

Yet you and others are talking like this is a done deal based on Smin not denying it, past exceptions to Gaijins rules for implementation and weapons grade hopium
