except the IRST is fixed, and not removable
so in terms of the game code it isnt a targeting pod

Maybe just not enough space for the IRST21 sensor and processing/cooling.
Having it on a fuel tank is probably the best case imo, at least it still has some secondary functionality

Hey, don’t hold it against the devs. It’s just that they’re trying to figure out how to lock this ammunition behind a new future vehicle that you’ll either have to pay or grind for.
