No, because that is just different radar modes operating simultaneously.
If the value of a new radar is unknown, they use the value of the previous radar as substitute. It’s done for everyone pretty much.

We really are clutching a little here the Captor AESA is not that much better and it should be buffed as it is not operating as it should in the real world.
The one source they have is their correspondent that they trust a little bit too much.

It infact lists different values for elevation/depression than the “leopard 2a8” brochure and is for 2A8NO.

As if the procurement-manager of the Leopard 2 stating -9° to +20° wasnt enough evidence that the brochure for a different vehicle (with specs not matching those of 2A7V in any way) may not be applicable to 2A7V…
Both Radars scan fast, both Radars have great gimbals the only place the IRBIS PESA (Which is not an AESA and is overperforming in game) is Vertical scan.
The Radar is not bad, it is not a million miles away from the other top tier Radars.
It’s better by a huge margin
most enemies have 70 degrees of gimbal on their radars, AESA euro has between 90 and 100
in each direction
with HMD, that in sim tells you the location of both every target you have on TWS as well as all your teammates.

HMD is not the Radar and I dont play SIM, I can see where the having the additional scan volume would be beneficial in that game mode.
It’s the same excuse they use to refuse to add spall liners to Challenger 2’s hull despite the photographical evidence; “see, we can’t tell which Challenger 2 variant it’s meant to be, so, uuuh, best to leave them all without spall liners xd”
