If the Us gets a premnium F18D for NE CAS, is there any possibilty that sweden gets one to? Perhaps like one of the Hornets? Also, what other Toptier premnium MBT coulds swden get.( like the same version of TT, but diffrent camo)
One thing to consider is that MICA can be DL controlled, so it means that the missile can effectively loft like any other fox 3. ASRAAM meanwhile doesn’t have DL (afaik, no confirmation on later variants either), so appart from being lighter, it also travels through thicker air. It does have better deltaV on paper, so that will equate to signficantly better time to target but also worse range overall
Now in game, a question is wether gaijin plans to add LOAL of air launched IIR missiles - which i don’t expect them to do, at least at first. In this situation, ASRAAM might be overall better at in game operational (ie, lock) range than MICA IR simply because the MICA IR would lack its long range advantage, and ASRAAM would have better time to target

I think the main selling point of the ASRAAM is that it will be the R27ER of IIR missiles having longer ranges then most IIR missiles but having a far better time to target if the posible mach 5 estimates are to be belivied (probably more around mach 4.5)
People were upset with the japanese f16. they were upset with the su27 dual rack, the rafale 2 extra mica, the EFT AESA… but I am surprised by now that there’s still that much push back against the F15 when we have so many precedents from gaijin explaining how they want to add stuff. The F15AI is just the follow up of a long list of semi fictional additions

Mach 5 estimate imo is a misconception that the 1000 degrees is all due to aero heating. From my understanding, its a mix of both aero and motor heating - no missiles of this category can get aero heating of those temps for dozen of seconds. The ASRAAM is probably around 1000-1200m/s of DeltaV max, and at burn out I don’t expect its energy retention to be anything magical. usual Mach 4.5 with peak of Mach 5 in specific conditions (similarl/slightly better than MICA as of now) seems much more likely. We do need to consider that CAMM is more aerodynamical than ASRAAM, more so than MICA EM/MICA IR comapraison, because the missile doesnt have as much wing area as MICA, so a large portion of the drag is just nose cone. Going from pointy to round probably would hurt the ASRAAM kinematics more than MICA IR.
Time to target of MICA within 10-15km currently is very scary. ASRAAM will be even better. Above 20-25km, the MICA probably will take the edge. But then, how better MICA would be at those range will depend on the seeker range, and possibility of guiding trough DL (not even to mention LOAL)

You asked if Sweden would be getting a premium for NE. The Gripen is suitable there as Swedish domestic. It has both air-to-ground and anti-ship capabilities.
If your question was more “is everyone going to get a premium F/A-18D?” The answer would be no. We have different jets in mind for each nation.
