S-ducts dont impact thermals tho. The ignition chamber and turbine aren’t visible from the front of the engine. S-ducts help radar reduction, which the rafale has plenty of (serrated edges, S-ducts, composite heavy structure…)
For the heat signature of the rafale, from a quick research, it seems it’s about hot spot reduction on the fuselage, as well as heat management for the engine output, with some heat reduction tech included in the design of the engine and exhaust nozzle from what I can read

Totally agree with this. One nation can have incorrect FM / Missile Loadout and everyhing while other nation can’t have neither.

The point made is the Rafale should be realistically on another level far above the “modern jets” that we have ingame in terms of actual systems and the platform itself. It has reduced radar and infrared signature yes, but ofc it is not on the level of 5th gens, but still not on the level of other modern 4th gens.
