For you perhaps. Many others want and request DIRCM as wide as possibly can be done. There is no other French domestic option here. And its not just this one option we have to consider, but future gaps and options to that BeNeLux can provide. AH-64E was an example of this.

Sadly that’s very easy to say, not so easy to accept when you have a whole bunch of players who purchased something with X armour, only for it to possibly be needed to be changed drastically later due to unknows of a prototype and experimental vehicle. As has been the case many, many times before. Even the MSC went through such changes. So whilst its all very easy to say “who cares, just do it?” from one perspective (your own), that’s sadly not a viable stance to take for everyone.

Even so for the long run I still think the tab idea is better then even more vehicles can be added that way obviously it would mean that big subtree like Thailand and South Africa might be the first ones for testing this idea but it does seem like people do want it
