Exactly. They’ve done that with a lot of the recently released to tier tanks and its just like… guys make good on your statement to use some common sense.
Might be time to depart a bit from the hard requirements for evidence for the sake of simulating changes in battlefield tech. There’s a good balance that could be struck.
Right now it feels like we are often times pushing up against personalities within gaijin rather than their actual policy.

Considering how Gaijin has been saying that we won’t be seeing any new Benelux Leopard variants in the foreseeable future due to the negative feedback, anything else than a leopard seems more likely

I do how they are going to implement APS in france because other than the 2A8 the only options are the evolution or the newer EMBT, which both seems unlikely as germany got two top tier vehicle on a row

I wouldn’t be against this for France if there were different circumstances for France. Right now there are 2 options for Gaijin to choose to make top tier French ground more competitive:
- Add the 2A8NL
- Improve the Leclerc as a whole and only after that or with that add a newer version of the Leclerc.
I wouldn’t be against less leopards if Gaijin was actually doing option 2, but they aren’t. Just throwing a newer Leclerc that is barely different than the ones in game at the problem without adressing any of the issues with the current Leclercs is not going to help France (besides giving them another cool looking tank in the form of the XLR). Not even SHARD is going to help in that case.

Like okay, they keep putting bad leclercs in so you’re only real hope RIGHT NOW is a better leopard.
Because gaijin will sit on bug reports for 3-5 years before fixing them. Or doing the exact opposite like they did with the abrams internal bulkhead. Had an accepted report for it being 25mm and then quietly did the opposite.

still think a rework won’t really fix the Leclerc, though, as the vehicle itself just isn’t particularly meta in War Thunder by design. Not because it’s a bad tank, but more because of how War Thunder’s gameplay works.
