Hopefully this is fixed sooner or later. Would like to be able to choose between Sniper and Litening for example.
Guess I forgot to add the obligatory “/s” at the end
I just want my IRST pod man
Then why is it still working on one side for me lol
Agreed
Sounds like a bug, I’d report it. Was removed as the AIM-9M was clipping with the AMRAAM. AIM-9X may or may not clip in future, would have to see.
I thought the clipping issue was with 120A?
AIM-424
AIM-174B and AIM-260?
Was with all of them iirc
Hmmmm. Okay. Guess I wait for 9X to rebuild everything then lol. Can’t be bothered atm to redo loadouts.
Don’t quote me on that. Solid chance Gaijin don’t readd it for the 9X anyway, just going off the 9X having smaller fins.
boooo :(
Edit: I’ll grab a image, doesn’t seem to be clipping

Looks like the F-15EX will be the US’ highest TWR fighter going forward? Not even the F-22 beating it.
F-22:
Empty Weight: 19,700kg
Engine thrust (uninstalled static): 15,875kgf x2
TWR: 1.61
F-15EX:
Empty weight: 16,100kg
Engine thrust (uninstalled static): 13,380kgf x2
TWR: 1.66
in all fairness, F119 is likely higher than 35000lbf. one number i see in older books and posts, from a time when they actually seem to have been more open about the F-22 than now, is 39,000lbf for the F119
Now with older 120’s it would def clip
The primary source I have states 35,000 pounds. Do you have a primary source stating anything higher than that?
J-20A could be up there if empty weight for the aircraft and static thrust for WS-15 is close to estimates
I need to find concrete sources but estimated thrust from the manufacturer is marked at 180kn, however I don’t really believe it, with the real number probably coming out closer to 160-170Kn, putting it a bit closer to Raptor
you can def feel it lol, damn thing is insanely fast!
fair enough. i expect F119 thrust curves may bridge the gap considering its quite optimized for high speed performance
