Engines produced 147kN of static thrust with afterburner (107kN without) during testing, so quite a bit less than the F-22. Since it is a smaller aircraft weight would naturally be lower too, but this is sadly one of the few things that would need to be estimated, with the only thing known being a stated “11.6% lower weight than conventional designs of a similar size”.
Using the F-22 as a basis, that would be an estimate 16,475kg empty weight (per the suggestion).
Sensors are quite good, with the mechanically steered AESA radar, IRST, integrated EW equipment and MAWS. Countermeasures may be lacking though, with only two dispensers on the aircraft.
Armament is probably the main limiting factor of it though. While internal AAM capacity is decent with six JNAAM (or four AAM-4/4B) missiles in the main bays and two side bays for one AAM-5/5B each, the only confirmed external loadout would be four ASM-3s. Meanwhile the only air to ground armament that is confirmed is internally carried Mk.82 bombs, which fit two in each of the main weapons bays.

Armament chart that has all confirmed loadouts. There is also renders with shoulder CFTs, though these are rather simple and there’s otherwise no mention of them.
We got the Yak-141, which is similarly not necessary, but is an interesting and important aircraft. Not that there even needs to be much justification anymore if they allow the F-15IA as though
The 26DMU (or F-X, 26DMU is technically just the name of the design mockup that went on to be the basis for the finalized 5th gen F-X design, hence “Digital MockUp”) was partly built, including components like part of the fuselage, the main weapons bays, engines, TVC and more, there was a flying demonstrator aircraft for it in the Mitsubishi X-2 and it’s an important milestone project making Japan the fourth nation in the world do fly a domestic 5th generation aircraft. That’s something that even today only 5 nations have achieved.
5th gen is also making top tier in many techtrees rather stale in the first place. There’s unique aircraft for USA, USSR, China, but aside from those it’s F-35A over and over, with some F-35B sprinkled in for flavor. Even if it isn’t needed for pure balance, this does help make top tier more interesting, even if just going for the US with the better rounded F-22 + one more F-35 variant or China with the J-20 and J-35 variants will probably stay the most popular options by far, especially when they also potentially receive their own unfinished 5th gens (F-23 and such, there’s probably more I don’t know about).
