I think the perspective really changes the shape of it, but this is a really close match
9M38M1 by the looks of it

^better comparison
i mean being a stroke 3 ref makes most sense “some of us are fearless” then it shows an F16 and what appears to be a SAM coming from below
That could be a clue too, did that pilot dodge any buk missiles?
Maybe it’s meant to be a replica?
In that case the 9M38M1 would fit almost perfectly
SA-2, SA-3 and SA-6 iirc
Apparently we know the missiles used, neither were Buks
definitely not the Kh-58, fins are different
Was there a Buk shown in the trailer? I don’t remember seeing one, but if there was one, I guess the missile being in that shot would make some sense
it makse sense being a ref bc this also seems like a ref to kim campbell, the a10 pilot who got struck by a MANPAD over Baghdad in 2003 and had one of her engines set on fire but flew back safely bit of a stretch but yk
I think we got a winner with it being supposed to be a 9M38M1
Since that part of the trailer looks to be placed in a museum, it would make sense for the missile to either be a replica or one with a new coat of paint
The issue comes from what does a 9M38M1 have to do with anything in that Museum? Its a weird spot to put it, after a B-17, F-16, A-10 and F-15EX.
the 9M38M1is from an SA-11, no?
Glad I chipped in with soviet SAMs, but yeah it’s out of place for the context for certain
well the theme with the b17, a10, and f16 is not dying when shot at
the mid fins kinda fit the shape of the SM6…but the top of the rear fin is not a knife point like the SM6???
from what i know theres been no famous or known incident where a SA-11 shot at an f16 and even if there was chances are the missile connected
None of them have any known stories (or atleast, that I could find) of facing a 9M38 Missile, so whats the relation? Its a weird thing to put.
Yeah, it’s Buk/SA-11
