New Weather in AirRB is bad for gameplay

Only russian with Kopyo Radar can easily lock ground target from the cloud in the game right now. Ka-52 have this ground radar too but Ka-52 didnt fly that high.

What are you talking about…
In top tier there is radar so you cant “hide”… its just waiting for some random missile to smack you.
In lower tiers without radar or radar missiles is just “whoever gets spotted is getting jumped on by half of the enemy team” since they cant see anyone else.
Rocky Pillars with fog is biggest crash fiesta since you have no time to react and even if you would like to go slower to have a chance to avoid crashing into something it leaves you vulnerable for someone that just appears behind you out of nowhere.
It is not realistic at all, either planes would not even take off from the runway or would be supported by AWACS, datalink and other stuff just to BVR over SAMs cover.
In 16v16 fiesta last thing we need is no ability to see enemy.

Yup, this is really dumb. At rocky pillars, those clouds are sometimes radically low. That i flying su25 GROUND ATTACK plane. It is pain, you have 2 choices:
1: fly so low, that you nearly crash and not see your target before it is >1000m
2: fly so high, that any fricking F5C see ya.
Choose.

The new Weather system is interesting at some aspects, in jet battles, you need to use your radar for search enemies, escape from IR missiles, among other things.
But, in prop battles, there are new strategies and problems: you can climb and make a surprise attack from the clouds, dive to evade a P38 or XP50 at high alt, and hide in the fog (it works for me).
However, this ends up causing players not to find each other (when in very conditions), making prop matches take even longer, that is, of course, if the enemy is not stationary or flying around the airfield. But i have to say that i liked the new weather system, as it allows you to make new moves and strategies, making the matches a little more dynamic.

Only interesting in Jet battles IF you have a proper Radar AND proper RADAR MISSILES.

Have fun with your 12.0 F-16 Netz without Radar missiles going against Radar missiles and Doppler Radars pointing at you from 3 different directions without the option to going down low…

I’ll like to grind top tier right now to get the Barak, US F-16’s and additional the Mig-29, but if i’ll get this weather conditions, i’ll quit the match without spawning at all.

And i’m not feeling bad about this.
I want to have fun with this game in the end.

Approaching only with IR Missiles while being dumbed on with radar missiles isn’t fun at all for me personally.

Same it is really hard to be good If you don’t have a clue where your enemies are and even If you know then your ir missiles do Not work

Also we get forced to play low and then a random ai AA Kills you from 3km

These are screenshots of both bases in the Rocky Pillars map. As you can see, one - the seaward - is clear and would be easy to land on. The other - in the valley - is completely socked in and would be an absolute nightmare to land on. The ‘middle’ airfield, the one without defenses was somewhat clear but it would have been suicide to land there, the enemy would just come strafe me.

I enjoy having the weather, it makes things different. However, if you’re going to have us landing in zero-vis conditions, conditions that airliners would not be allowed to land in at most airports, then you’re going to have to give us some landing aids. In my F-4F cockpit there is a radar altimeter, this is good. But I fly in third person so I’d REALLY like to have this info in that HUD. More detailed maps could be useful but will detract from the fun of the game, except in sim. Perhaps in zero visibility conditions there could be a glide slope projected out from the runway, like real life ILS but visual in the game.

They should have us also a ground mapping radar so that you don’t have to worry about crashing into Mountains at Zero visibility

I just wanna ask how many crashed when tried to landing.(skull emoji). Very bad conditions.
