basically i got the idea after realising you can mine walls in infantry, why not do the same to tanks? if you get next to a tank without being shot, you could chuck a mine onto it and then run away
why not explode with the tank?

use this.
oooooh shi- that works, might aswell kamikazi, maybe gaijin could add both
Jokes aside, having both would actually create a cool dynamic. The Lunge Mine could be a last-resort weapon for a specific class to stop a tank pushing an objective, while a magnetic/adhesive charge could be standard equipment for an Engineer or Anti-Tank class.
To keep it balanced, planting a magnetic mine could require a 2-3 second animation right up against the hull, meaning you have to completely blindside the tank to pull it off. What do you guys think would be a fair damage model for it?
Enlisted has them they basically almost send you up with the tank.
Any sort of anti-tank mine / satchel charge will be low tier RPGs and bazookas will be what most people use. You really don’t want to try to get close to a tank as a infantry though these short range weapons will be a must. Don’t forget they likely will add a hatch mechanic of tanks for driver / commanders which means you could drop a Molotov / grenade into the tank which will likely take it out.
However during WW2 standard Molotov cocktails where a thing for all nations though there focused mostly on anti-armor so smashing one over the engine deck would be fun.

However Tanks should play like in simulator mode with extreme limitations so you can sneak up and chuck a mine or charge on it. If the optics brake or are blinded you are forced to pop out of your tank risking gun fire. Maybe this is a way to add in partisan squads running around with random stuff like spray paint trying to blind tank optics and stuff (there is a lot of strange madness as trying to stop tanks with random objects) Molotov cocktails are very good at blinding optics so they can work at getting closer then you would have.
yes but this idea would mainly apply to enlisted, not warthunder infantry, a moltov is a good idea to slowely damage vheacals over time though, i would still like the mining of a tank or the type 99 magnetic grenade
I can see anything in enlisted being slowly ported over given time. People will be banging on the gates until it happens because people want there WW2 wonderwaffles in game.
Another idea would be IEDs but you need a engineer unit to set it up and it takes time. You can set off this trap when you feel its ideal. (not a landmine more or less a remote charge (250kg charge or something) Another thing would be for balance there should be some soil disturbance that might be noticed and IED detectors can be added to tanks that had them.
