The M829A3. Gaijin quite actually renamed the round to “A3,” gave +4 pen, lower muzzle velocity. Its not innacurate with available information. However, +4 is absurd and the post pen is stupid. IRL A3 was designed to better maintain shape in contact, specifically made to pen kontact-5 russian ERA. In the game this is not shown, a effective peneration should be higher when encountering Konctact armor. Stupid implementation, and probably another bug thats never gonna be fixed like the armor.

You didnt know? US sources aren’t good enough and according to Russia the Abrams is bad and the round cant EVEN PEN K5! Long live the snail and its double standard.

In the game, the M829A3 reduces the effectiveness of Kontakt-5 from 120 mm to 60 mm

You can tell they just copypasted the A2 round, if you kill something with A3, it shows A2 in the kill feed.

strange but interesting the bugs that appear in this game after each update. I recall a few months back when landing on a airfield at a certain angle and speed caused 17 feet spikes to grow out of the ground was terrifying to be honest
They probably have the tusk modifiction coded as a second tank and forgot to update it.
Par for the course primary sources from the uk mod on the L27a1 being able to defeat t80’s frontally with kontakt 5 are marketing lies.

A3’s penetration is higher than A2’s when facing against K5 + armor in War Thunder.
Dm53 used to be able to pen K5 but they nerfed the rounds for “balance” they obviously don’t care about nato.
Yep, A3 definitely works… or they just continue to buff USSR survivability. Dart straight through the carousel, hits 4 charges as seen, nothing happens

NATO mbts are useless, can’t keep up with the russians tech.
abrams vs t-90m:
hull armor - t-90m wins
turret chicks - t-90m wins
looks - t-90m wins
speed - t-90m wins
cannon girth - t-90m wins (125 vs 120 needless to say which she will pick)
reverse speed - t-90m wins (because easier to aim when backing off due to slow speed)
Whenever t-90m shows up my Abrams lose 18/20 times, I simply cannot pen it anywhere it’s invincible, only time I could kill it is shot from behind. The t-90m should be 13.7 or 14.0. Also don’t forget object 292 is at 10.7 with 700mm pen!

No way you said the reverse speed is better on the t-90M just because you can aim easier, like just say you are bad at top tier yo, besides that most of these things SHOULD go to the abrams but it just isnt modelled correctly
