New update completely ruined high tier france ground

This is hilarious as it assumes a singular French player chose to play France to play the Leopard MBT rather than the Leclerc

No one said you’re playing France to use German vehicles. Just like people don’t start grinding Sweden or Israel to use Soviet vehicles - but they do help bulk up line-ups. They will help French players at top-tier. And regarding any possible assumption about the Leclerc, it’s common knowledge that it is subpar compared to other nations offerings in both real life and in this game. Take it up with the French military ego if you have a problem acknowledging that. Remember - it’s the French mains crying the most about Leclerc in this game, so can’t blame Gaijin for trying to give them an MBT that works.

Comparing vehicles nations purchased and used in their armies to vehicles from an entirely different nation getting shoehorned in to a tree despite functional vehicles of the same class existing being left to rot because Gaijin doesn’t wish to develop their newer ammo.

Again, hilarious.

You give it newer ammo, and then you’ll have the US mains crying that they don’t have this or that ammo, then the Soviet mains will start crying about them not having this or that ammo. You don’t want to start that rubbish. You know it will happen. Ah what the hell, no point debating about a tree that ends at 9.3.

The US has their modern rounds.

As do the Soviets.

As do the Germans, the British, the Swedish…

Meanwhile France is using a round developed in the 90s for the first production Leclerc in the SXXI despite extensive documentation existing that it never even used that round in the first place.

Maybe because people want better Leclercs, not yet another copy-and-paste leopard, people play France to play French tanks like the Leclerc, not to be forced to play a German tank since the Leclerc is utterly outclassed by anything it faces.

True, I was planning to move towards Leclerc next, but now I can’t cause I have to grind the stupid SPAAs or the stupid wheeled things since I need 3 vehicles to get to 8th rank. You can’t move through the 2 normal tank lines cause there’s not enough vehicles on those.

I knew this was coming, so I rushed to finish grinding the Leclerc S1&S2 tanks and bought talisman 50% discounted for S1 before the update dropped as soon as I heard they were getting moved. (I only got AMX-32(105), AMX-32 and AMX-30 Super at that time)

Why are you guys sad the leclercs got to tier 8 ?
At least you now start with apfsds instead of HEAT

I would like a tank that isn’t one I have twice that’s only prolonging me from getting something unique and the reason I even started grinding that tree.

its fucking sucks. when i grind french i want to play french tanks and not german tanks.
When i want to play german tanks i play sweden…

Wounder what the next country is, which gets the German Leopard lineup copypasted.

Can Germany please get the swedish STRVs or the French LeClerks copypasted as well? Or is it just oneway?

Why not just make another Leclerc with different colours/camo and different regimental markings if a tech tree needs bulking up? Copy paste the nations own vehicles instead of filling line up with the same vehicle as the enemy. Keep a nations identity.

unique models? Are you serious lmao

I can’t tell if this is cope or you’re trolling a leopard is a leopard there’s no “unique” experience that will come from playing this tank compared to playing it from it’s actual nation.

No I don’t care if the netherlands use leopards this is a french tech tree that has plenty of options for french unique vehicles. This game is getting saturated with copy paste making grinds longer and battles more homogeneous. It’s lazy and boring.

I don’t main any nation and have most up to rank 6 and 5 I can tell you that people play different nations for their unique flavor and playstyle they bring. If they wanted to play a leopard they would play germany. It’s really not hard to understand.

@Blue_Gums
The Orange camo makes it obvious that it’s unique.
And I have a Dutch friend for pointing out the differences before the models swapped.

The game is not getting saturated with copy-paste, the amount of copy-paste as a percentage of vehicles is the same today as it was in 2015.

The Dutch leopards are copy and paste (despite having different models than German ones), because they offer nothing new compared to German leopards. They don’t offer anything unique, and they shouldn’t have been added to France.

Type 59 is copy-paste T-54 due to offering nothing unique in playstyle.
Leclerc is just copy-paste M1A1 cause it offers nothing unique in playstyle.

Not my actual views.

Don’t reduce uniquness to something as universal as playstyle. That type of reductionist argumentation isn’t useful.

They are not, they are very different tanks.

You aren’t wrong.

I wasn’t exactly clear, but my point is, is that they are still just leopards that don’t add anything new. They don’t have meaningful modifications, and they just aren’t needed.

They are just leopard 2s, and nothing else.

I appreciate the 2A5NL cause it’s a unique 2A5 and it’s my favorite Leopard 2 type overall.
I’ll likely use the 2A4 when that BR’s lineup gets stronger.
