so, aphe now explodes against fences. this is a bug thats been happening for a little while now.
this bug did not happen before. before, aphe simply shot through everything. its a recent bug that aphe explodes against trees, fences, and the like.
so.
why?
why is it, that just as this bug pops up, gaijin wants to add a new game mechanic, where aphe continues flying as a solid ap shot, after the charge exploded?
answer is easy right? gaijin purposefully broke aphe, to add this new mechanic.
Shell with an explosive that detonated when a fuse is compressed by hitting something exploded when hitting something??? this is clearly incorrect gaijin pls fix so I don’t need to think about terrain obstacles anymore

clearly not you because you shot a wall

then…stop acting like i did?
i guess you dont know sarky
Is there a replay you show? Some rounds already detonated shooting fences. I get confused with what I can shoot and not shoot through at times. I usually just machine gun fences to make sure nothing eats my shell, when shooting anything other than darts.

this is how it should be done, a fence would trigger an APHE shell in reality so I don’t get why its not always the case in WT
Thats not how APHE fuzes work. They do not act like HE or HEAT fuzes that triggers when they achieve an impact (Direct Action Fuze) (You can even set the sensitivity of DAF to a point where it will ignore thin fences and thin tree branches). When the APHE projectile suddenly slows down, a base fuze will trigger the explosives inside just a little bit after a graze action is achieved.
A wooden or a metal fence is not enough to slow down a 75mm APHE projectile to a point where it will trigger the fuze. Some projectiles may be triggered when they hit a tree but most of the time projectiles just shattered the tree and moved their way.

a thick lump of wood on a fence would certainly trigger the fuse, just like a brick wall. i don’t mean the chicken wire fences that can be machine gunned

When a 7 kg projectile is going over Mach 2.7, a wooden log we can find on Japan’s wooden fences will just shatter and will not effect the shells velocity to a point where it can trigger a graze action. Also thin concrete (probably up to 15cm) can not trigger because concrete is basically sand glued together when they face an AP projectile.

have you never seen a wall lmfao
APHE hasn’t changed.
Fences allegedly changing =/= APHE changing.
I am not talking about walls of buildings which may consist of stone bricks. I’m talking about regular ol’ concrete. Which was used by mostly allied tank crews to ‘increase’ their tanks protection. Homever it wasn’t very common since it didn’t protect well and just added unnecessary weight.
theres not really any concrete walls in this game though, its all brick
Well even a brick wall will fall and break depending how thick a brick wall is
I don’t get Caernarvon’s argument I understand AXCHNEER though he is using physics when explain how a shell works

and now, gaijin pushed through the testing of the aphe changes anyway, because who cares about the vote, right? this was never a vote.
The vote was botted and they know that. That’s why when it first came out majority voted yes, then all of a sudden it was no.
