is that the Russian President?
Kh’s get better flexibility of deployment + speed compared to the 39s and JSOW. And with how fast stuff respawns and other legacy issues, Redfor can still win if Blufor drops it worse than a sack of bricks.
I do agree the Kh31PDs seemed to be horribly inaccurate when aiming for ground based SAM systems, the kh38’s did seem a bit less good given they need a line of sight, aka fly high, making you an easier target but other than that they seemed fine to use. Though keep in mind the kh38 is not even remotely similar to the gbu39 and JSOW?? Theyre GNSS guided glide bombs while the kh38 is an actual missile. Have you tried using the Grom-2’s? theyre closer to the gbu39 and JSOW.
I agree with all the points you raised. I added to my post the issue of the inaccuracy of IR-guided bombs (GBU53) against convoys and moving vehicles.
Thank you for your contribution, let’s hope it gets seen by someone inside Gajin.
PvE rewards are terrible; the entire point of the mode was to encourage PvE so that your team may win. PvP rewards are too high, not that they shouldn’t be, but at the very least reward the players for their time striking ground targets.
The matches can go on for almost or over an hour; as much as a regular SIM EC match can go for just a quarter of the rewards, it definitely needs adjusting.
How so? Do you think they should be longer or shorter? Personally I really like how the matches last for so long, and I wouldn’t even mind if they went on for a bit longer.
I don’t mind the hour long matches, that’s not really my issue (I quite like it actually). I feel like the rewards for playing all that time are subpar. You can make more RP in just that hour playing regular ARB or SIM EC.
doesnt help the fact that there are SOO MANY SHORADS that killing them entire game still wont do jackshi
Gaijin should look into adding ARMs for more aircraft below 12.0, as currently its mostly soviet aircraft and the italian Tornado that has it. (yes i dont count the AIM-9ARM)
What is wrong with this mode? cant lock any rusian plane corectly, and being killed easily… Using F4S and as in normal ARB, locking someone is just not works 50% of the time, if not more…
People are telling me the AGM-154s on the F-15E are great but I can’t get them to work at all. Can’t drop them all that accurately without t-pod, t-pod requires 30km distance to target to designate them, and the trees/clouds obscure all the targets from most angles which requires even closer distance to accurately target them. Ends up being an exercise in futility with either some Su-30SM2 in space raining infinite missiles on me or thirty S300 missiles forcing me defensive until I give up or run out of fuel.
Anyone have tips?

So far the overall A2G weaponory balance is super skewed.
Everything but stealth munitions gets intercepted.
All the billion variants of JDAM/Paveway/LS6 and things like kh38/59/kd88 might as well not exist as they are never getting through even if salvo-fired.
Unless you drop all 6 on a single SAM, yeah that would work, usually.
From treetop level, accelerate towards the target point you set up, using the distance to gauge timing. When you’re about 31-34km (depending on speed, pitch up anywhere between 30-60 degrees, shutting off afterburner, throttleing down or even popping your airbreak for a bit. While within that position, enter TGP view and fire off your salvo in manual designation, then break back down, compensating for other SAMs and IOG capabilities. Ideally, you should take no more than 20 seconds to begin your defensive maneuvers.
If performed correctly, this will give the JSOWs more than enough energy to remain above optimal engagement zone for majority of SAM systems. However, JSOWs are much better against S-300 batteries than 2S6s and HQ-11s as their RCS parameter is still high enough for them to engage effectively. It’s somewhere between 40-60% success, depending on other variables. For those systems, GBU-39s employed in the same strategy are far more reliable.
There is definitely something wrong with the convoy T80s, they cannot even be hit when they come to a stop. Yet this issue does not exist for the T80s in the dug in positions. This is really weird lol.
also the server hamster dying halfway through the clip lol
Use the new targeting points. Have “hold to open map” off to make it easier (aka toggle map). Place down the targeting points with ALT+LMB (should be a legend on the right bottom of the map for the controls) make sure to zoom in all the way to a target and place the point of the mouse on top of the enemy icon when placing target points. Then use LMB to select a targeting point and use RMB on it, this should open a menu on top of it where you can press LMB to add one or multiple JSOW (or any other GPS weapon) to that specific targeting point. RMB on the menu removes a linked weapon. Then make sure you have salvo launch in the controls bound.
When you’ve linked a weapon a targeting point it should get a small red circle on the bottom of it, useful to know if it worked. I generally fly pretty much straight up, to around 8-12km high then drop them. (They can reach basically the entire map from that height and are less likely to get intercepted by smaller SAM sites) usually I try to be 50km away from my targeting point but I’ve had them hit even at 80km away.
Hope this helps, if you have any other questions on how to do it feel feee to ask, I’ll try to respond if I see it and have the time.
Keep in mind this only works on stationary targets and ones that have been spotted on the map… personally I wouldn’t use JSOWs with the TGP as they aren’t really meant to be used that way…
its with every tank, Mavericks(and looks like other munitions too) stop tracking after launch. Even if you play on the other team.
I’m thinking it’s the trees blocking the IR seeker making it lose the lock tbh, I’d be very interested to see how they would work if the trees weren’t there
Maybe but sometimes you can see it tracking behind a tree.
I dont know if you guys remember the bug in the test drive that would make the seeker lock the ground. I dont know if it can be something like that.
I’m here only to say the only gripe of this mode now is related to the queue times being painfully long for Tier VII aircraft (so the BR between 10.3 and 11.7 more or less) simply because no one is interested to play with the USSR,so much that every match i did was Everyone Vs. USSR+UK+Sweden.
Talking with someone i met on a match,we discovered that USSR doesn’t have lots of option to fight BLUFOR SAMs as effectively as BLUFOR. ARMs sure can be used, but they’re not that strong, they’re limited and they can be defeated sort of easily now. Vikhrs are the only real option, but only two planes carry them. I will not say to nerf the BLUFOR SAMs,but rather what about we add some more nations on the REDFOR side?
Other than that it’s a blast,SPAAs can now be countered pretty effectively, the mode feels more relaxed and chaotic and the same time (way less anxious compared to April 1st),the airfield cooldown is a nice mechanic but the cooldown should be tuned and the addition of naval units is wonderful and i hope it gets expanded and refined.
As a final note, the AV-8B(NA) passed from being worthless inside the April 1st variant of this mode to being probably the 2nd most broken CAS vehicle in the lower bracket range, second only to the A-10C: the 4×JSOWs,coupled with the new multi-point aiming, let’s you either kill Osas/Shilkas/Strelas at 20-23km if you’re hugging the trees or you can straight up kill the BUKs at 30km if you are at 3000 metres without worrying about reaching the location or having the bombs intercepted since those SAMs will never see them. If done right, you will always get the kills the moment the plane is rearmed which is crazy. Do not own the A-10C but i guess having 24×GBU-39s means doing the same with the capacity to hit between 6 and 12 different targets.
