Everybody complains about the aim being simplefyed and taht they can´t use there “Mad Skillz” anymore to farm casual players.
Though the real negative is that all the secondaries now only fire on the target you lock.
I died now a few times just because my secondarys, who have no other target and a free fireline, ignore ships, boats and even planes, just because i locked another target in the distance.
This is so stupid. Who thinks that this is a good idea? It was already bad enough that the secondaries didn´t open fire at something you didn´t look at, half the time.
Now when i have some ship selected in teh far distance, the entire crew collectivly tunnelvisions on that one target.
Its frustrating from a gameplay standpoint and immersion breaking ontop of that.
Like, seriously, if the target i shoot is on the right, i can literally see the secondaries on the left side hugging the ships supertructure, trying to aim at something they could never hope to shoot ones.

It is the problem of the current vison system you only see targets in you zone of sight even minimap show that and all other targets being ignored even for AI controlled guns, bugtracker managers doesn’t look at it as an issue, you can try to report it again,

Haven’t noticed that - mostly if I have secondaries I’m using them manually (same shooting button as mains) against the same target as mains anyway - but occasionally at least AAA fires at nearby boats still, and have given me a few kills.

It’s a fairly noticable problem with the new aiming system, not a problem with the visual system as someone tried to state above. AA guns will flat out refuse to target coastal boats unless you have your main guns targeting them as well, even if the coastal is in view between you and your current target and within AA range.
I think it suffers similar issues with planes, though its hard to test with how OP the bot’s AA power is currently. I’ve taken to swapping the AA target priorities to planes only to force them to fire at unlocked planes in the meantime if someone is flying around.
Have to disagree with that - using BB’s my AAA has no trouble targeting boats as long as I have hte target priority including surface vessels.
As I mentioned - occasionally they will get an independent kill.

I could be wrong, I’ve just noticed lapses where I’ve practically had to show the AA that there was a boat present. Possibly caused by my default setting for target priority being both targets if what you say is true and having just boats selected makes it work fine.
