I’m wondering why the Su-30sm2 doesn’t have the R-37m and the F/A-18e doesn’t have the Aim-174b
Also, the Eurofighter and rafale can have the meteor. These missiles must come before major stealth. wonder why they weren’t put in this update.

Because they weren’t and still aren’t really needed.
PL-15 was on the leaklist and they said on the devstream that dual-pulse was under development. But quite frankly. Im still waiting for them to actually add the Aim-120B in a half decent state. Let alone C5.
Meteors would be fun, but not needed at the moment, especially with the micro maps we have at the moment.
Though Im personally of the opinion that we need Gen 5 IIRs first and not new ARH
i hope we get these missiles before f-22, f-35, b-2, j-20, j-31, and no stealth su-57

i feel the r-77-1 is as good as the mica or the aim-120c-5
R-77m nuking anything that’s not meteor or pl-15 lol. It won’t come until other nations get their equivalents

Eh only for maneuvering targets at range, in almost all other scenarios I would consider r-77-1 better
You know the Su-57 will probably have the best stealth because “reasons” and also be immune to IR missiles beause it has all-aspect DIRCM
I really hope they just fix the currently existing missiles before adding new ones, although by the current rate it’s not looking great for that happening.

yes but the f-22 and f-35 will sling missiles way before the su-57 can see it. the only thing that will save it is that i saw it have a 0.01m2 frontal aspect. f-22 0.0001m2 all aspect.

Also there is no guarantee that stealth is going to do all that much and is probably going to be heavily mitigated so its not stupidly OP

They really need to rework DIRCM against IIR missiles.
Yeah… Maybe a few years after the Su-57 has been added it will be allowed
5th generation IIRs are too strong at the moment. A PL 15 or a Meteor is still avoidable thanks to the terrain, but an AIM 9X, PL 10, R74, or MICA IR is extremely difficult to avoid. The only solution is to significantly nerf 5th generation IIRs, but we know how WT players will complain because these missiles won’t be as effective. For me, a Meteor, PL 15, R77M, or AIM 120D would be a good idea, but only on specific platforms, at least initially. For example, Rafale, F3R, J16, SU-30SM2, Typhoon (AESA), JAS39E, and F-15C Golden.
How about we make the current missiles more like their irl specs?
Why demand them to add gimped versions of newer missiles?
They need to do something to fix the MASSIVE imbalance between aircraft in WVR, HOBS vs no-HOBS is a major issue at the moment and that can only be fixed one way.
With the tiny map sizes, BS Multipathing still existing and how easy seekers are too defeat. These extra long range ARH missiles wont change a thing. You will still fire METEOR at the same ranges you fire an Aim-120C5 and wont be that much harder to defeat and then the fight goes WVR and now aircraft with R-73 and Magic II have IR missiles that work and everyone else is using guns.
Id rather them actually add the Aim-120B and then add ASRAAM rather than to add Meteors and nothing in the current missile balance changing.
