New Labels for the Community bug reporting Service

POLL IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS SUGGESTION

Currently Within the Bug Reporting service there are too few labels, which mean that Bug reports can gain labels which are Unclear or Misleading, This suggestion is meant to propose a way which can lead to greater clarity and less confusion

The Current Labels are as Follows:
Not a Bug - Greyish Brown
image
Accepted - Red
image
Fixed - Dark Green
image
Response Needed - Dark Blue
image
Not Enough Info - Turquoise/Cyan
image
Support - Pink
image
Duplicate - White

This suggestion will Focus on additional Labels “Under Review” and “Suggestion” However Additional Labels would be possible, feel free to suggest further examples below

For Example “Accepted” in this first case

This Label does not change when a report is actually “Accepted” after being Reviewed, which can lead to confusion and a lack of Clarity between if a Report is pending review to see if it is valid, and to see if the Developers recognise the issue and is on their list of things to do

seen here:

What I’d Suggest is to add an “Under Review” label to be added. Which Concepts for can be seen below, to see whether the Developers have Reviewed the attached information or not, which is impossible to distinguish under the current system.

I would suggest an Orange colour for this as it Highlights its similarity to the “Accepted” Label, while remaining distinct in its own right.

Concepts for “Under Review”:

This would mean that the Sequence for a successful Bug report would be as Following:

This Clarifies when an Issue has been aknowledged by the dev team, and is in the pipeline to be fixed, or wether it is still to be Reviewed to see if the present information is valid

There’s also the Suggestion marker, which Under the Current System is served by the “Not a Bug” Label, Which is Highly misleading, as such Reports are still Recognised by the Dev Team, but are not recognised as a Bug, this is usually the case for ammunition or optional upgrades, which while historical, and “not a bug” they are still forwarded as they can be used to assist in the balancing of a vehicle.

I would Suggest a lighter Green colour to keep Continuity with the Suggestion section found here on this forum, and as it keeps the positive affirmation of the “Fixed” label, and goes as far as it can go up to that point, this can later be converted to “Fixed” when said suggestion is implemented.

Concepts for “Suggestion”:

Meaning a Successful report would look like as following (Including “Under Review”)

These Additions would be much welcomed by those who use the Bug reporting service, for the Extra clarity and information regarding the status of a bug report

Just to clarify when something on the CBR gets “passed to the developers as a suggestion” it has no relation to Suggestion Moderators or the suggestion’s section on the forums. It’s completely separate and is handled differently.

omg this the most future is needed in bug report will improve bug report a lot.

More transparency on the player side of bug reporting would be good, and this could be part of it. Would be good to see a reporting process flow chart so that players can more easily become familiar with the reporting system.

i think they want you to redo the report, wait two years for it to be read unless you personally speak to one of the good CBR mods and then get the same tag because it wasnt read properly…
