New German Panther Premium

I think vk 45.02 tiger 1 would also be interesting

Or we could reverse the pz4 turret on panther, and have a panther F turret on pz4😂

I’m just not gonna with Di’kutla. Sigh. Percussion, consider yourself a headache and on a list.

So you may be right compared to the Tiger H1 but the problem is that 5.7 isn’t a good BR lineup. There are hardly and good 7.0 lineups that people play so regardless of whether you play 5.7 or 6.0 you are going to be fighting 6.7 most of the time. It really isn’t worth buying a Tiger P which is expensive when you could just play Panthers and the Tiger E for free. Unless you want to be really scummy and disguise your cupola and diagonal armour spots with a ton of bushes.

Never knew I wanted those vehicles in the game until I saw those photos.

What about Panther F with stabilized optics at 6.7 ???

A stabilized sight wouldn’t actually do anything, the gun itself still isn’t stabilized

It would help to rangefind targets on the move

Apparently the system was set up so the gun would fire when the gun was aligned with the position of the gunner sight, which was stabilized.

So effectively, unstabilized cannon that only fires when it is actually pointing where you’re aiming. At least that’s my understanding of it.

I feel like that would be realllly inconsistent in-game, more of a hassle than anything

I like weird vehicles, so I tend to collect pics of stuff like this. Mass produced stuff you can find anytime, these weird creations made by some guy with a welder can’t be.

There’s a couple of easy turret swaps you can have as premiums:

  • Panther F with late G turret
  • Panther G with F turret

Then there’s Panther G with NVD, which should be super easy too.

There may be some other things, but I can’t remember which is paper and which was done. Here’s a list of things, people with more knowledge than me can comment:

  • Panther with autoloader, built by Škoda
  • 900 hp Maybach HL 234 engine
  • Air cooled diesel engine by Simmering and water cooled diesel engine by Deutz (I think this is the same one on the premium Tiger II)
  • Stabilized main gun
  • New turret with 8,8cm

Each of those above would be a separate vehicle, the only one I remember being paper is the 88mm Panther, but likely others (if not all) are paper too. I think there was a gas turbine experiment at some point too, but I don’t know if that experiment was done either.

Could also have a more historically accurate Panther II, then a Panther II with late G turret as a premium.

Excuse me, what?

The Panther 2 screams to me as the perfect mid tier medium tank premium for Germany.

"a new weapon designed by Krupp and Skoda as the 7.5 cm KwK 44 L/70 for the Schmalturm armed Panther F and featured a concentric recoil mechanism. This dispensed with the large cylinders on top of the gun barrel and would have enabled a much smaller mantlet than that of the Jagdpanzer IV Lang’s PaK 42 L/70 to be fitted. Skoda were working on an auto loader which would fire 40 rounds a minute and it had been test fired by the end of the war. "

I’d say tech tree, after all, it’s got better armour and much better mobility so it’d be perfect for 6.7

Yeah, but the panther 2 was already in game, then taken out

The real life Panther II has the same transmission and engine as a Panther A, G or F. The only way it could have better mobility is if it doesn’t have the engine governor, meaning it can reach 3000 RPM with 700 horsepower, but the extra weight offsets that extra horsepower.

According to a drawing site->JuniorGeneral, it would need to be considered as a tertiary source. The Panzer IV Turret on a Bergepanther hull. Could not rotate its turret so I was correct on one assumption, not enough space for that equipment. HOWEVER the cannon was left operational. So the vehicle could still engage enemy tanks but more as a Tank Destroyer. But taking into consideration it was a field modification to a Bergepanther and a surplus Panzer IV turret. It would have scouted, and other stuff scouting vehicles have. As this was a homebrewed Command Tank. This would likely be a 4.3->5.0 tank. Since it is a modified Panther hull but due to the none rotational turret makes no sense to be placed higher. Since the turret would be the weak point. You need to rotate the entire tank to fire at targets.

Now someone needs to just make a suggestion.
