The vehicle was laid down with the intention of fitting 380s to it, and was compromised with 283s.
Either is as realistic as the other. Germany just chose to spend less money IRL.
The ship was also in dry dock getting the 380s fitted to it before it was bombed.

Yes. For that they should get what they paid for.
Yes. It was bombed BEFORE it got them. So it is still just on paper but they still put it in even tho its not needed at all. If it was needed, ok. But its not. Why we get a fake vehicle then? Either Gaijin wants them or dont. I see it for Kronstadt but this thing just shoots against everything gajin put up to explain the removal of those vehicles.
And as you can take Planes into Naval, they are combined. So you can have fake vehicles that are allowed and fake vehicles that are not allowed in the same game/match.
You might change the title of your thread and the tags.
In 9 of 10 cases threads with these titles and tags will be closed with the note:
Please use a proper title describing the topic and proper tags…
I recommend “machinery of war”, “naval”…otherwise there is a high chance that the thread gets locked and closed.

Gaijin has removed zero ships from War Thunder’s tech trees that weren’t bad reserve ships, and this is a very real ship which you admitted multiple times.
I did not. I said that those guns are fake on this ship mutliple times. Sure the Hull is real, but the guns on it arent. So if that is okay, other players should also get acces to Panther 2 for example because its the same thing Hull- Yes Turret- No.

Same as them putting a 105 on the M1KVT. Those tanks are all A1s IRL.
This a bit different IMO, as it’s just an aesthetic thing.
It’s more like how market camouflages are sometimes inspired from a camo used on a different vehicle IRL, so get ‘Semi historical’ tag instead of fully ‘historical’. There are many examples of this.
There is a big difference, the 380mm guns on the gnisenhau or whatever were planned, the turret on the panther 2 that we have in game was never planned to be put on the actual panther 2 hull, the turret did exist, but the turret and hull were completely different programs that existed nearly 2 years apart from each other

WHY YALL TALKING ABOUT THE GNISNAU its way more real than the russian boat she was put in dry dock for these modifications but war changed and hitler ordered her a blockade ship russia never recieved these guns they shouldnt get this boat

Its still fake. Making it’s addition contrary to the reason other tanks were removed.

I am not thrilled by the addition because everyone depicts it with these cannons, but it is inaccurate to the vessel, and the thing would have essentially had to be ripped up and put back together to accommodate them (was happening, did not progress far enough for the guns). Maybe if there was a tree one with correct guns, and a premium with this very questionable standard, I could go along with it, but as it stands it is quite upsetting that we’re seeing the same questionable depictions as virtually every other title that shows Gneisenau. The thing was shattered well and truly before the guns had a hope of being installed.

That’s why i didn’t mention the turret. We don’t need to talk about the L8,8cm in the Panther F turret. But the hull was still there. Put L7,5cm in the turret and this thing is good to go. Same with the Flakpanzer 341. Its a panther hull with Ostwind turret. There are things in this game that make even less sense and they build it out of wood. I would consider that a prototype. A very early one… fair… but my point stands. XD
And as i said. You can take fake planes that gaijin removed because of Tree into Naval matches but at the same time you can play Ships that never saw daylight. (In this case the turrets).
So you got good fake vehicles and bad fake vehicles allowed in the same place at the same time.
Gaijin is like Italy. Always switching teams and they will backstab you if you’re their ally.
Ps. Even the 105 turret of the Tiger 2 was said to come eventually. It’s still not in the game anymore. So the 380mm would also be complete bullshit if the Tiger 105 has the same issue.
Gaijin doesn’t care what you think - they are the arbiter, and they say you are wrong.

Yea basicly. They go the path of WOT and EA. Lets see how long this will continue till they broke the game so hard, everybodys leaving. As soon as there is a competitor that makes things better, a lot of people would switch. And if there was a new realistic Tank game i would definetly test it. Doing it better than Gaijin right now is not very hard.
