New Effects & Detailed Cockpits Coming in Tusk Force!

Yeah, all the moderators teams are volunteers with regular jobs/school/families/hobbies/etc so not all of us are able to respond every day, the teams are international so there are time zones to think about as well. Which is also why the general tip is to just keep adding moderators to the same original message (don’t spam though, one every 2-3 days is enough) as eventually one of them will log on and respond :)

thanks, it’s annoying because whoever updated the code for the new smoke trails could have fixed the MIM-72 issue then and there, but they instead decided to just ignore fixing it.

I don’t mean to go on and on, I just feel that devs as a whole should be less dismissive, ya know?

I don’t think that is how it works. I’m just guessing based on logic here but i would think they have different dev teams focused on different areas of the game and the team that works with generalised effects aren’t going to be the same team that work on specific vehicle/munition settings.

While i understand the feeling i don’t think this is the case, more likely a case of having more important tasks prioritised. So not dismissive but rather to much on their plate already (and again, just guessing here as i have no actual insight).

It’s been a year and all they need to do is change the one line of code:
(Note that the MIM-72E code was copied from the MIM-72C without adjusting the smoke trail)

And you can see that the change should be on line 1495

That’s my findings anyway

Sorry to hear that but it might affect you. 144 vs 60Hz is huge for me and probably for many more people.

I upgraded but a few months ago I was turning down settings left, right and center just to get stable 144 FPS.

Just tried to show how it’s very noticeable even for the most basic actions, let alone in fast paced games.

It will definitely provide you with an edge that surely can be the difference between living and dying.

are there any plans for proper Chinese cockpits? as the helis still only have placeholder cockpits and the jets are dumbed down with everything after the j8f having the same hud

Yeah I’ve been suspecting whether or not its imparing me too much, I’ve never actually been able to tell a difference in FPS over about 80, I’ve always suspected thats just because there’s not really a difference though

I upgraded 8 months ago ish, best decision ever (thanks for reminding me to clean my pc), went from 720p 25 fps ulq to 1080p 144fps max settings (minus ray tracing, I have a 3050 lol), significant increase, but I found that 25 - 30 fps is completely playable personally, maybe I was enjoying it because from 2018 - 2021 I was playing this game at 10 - 15 fps lol

Just saying I didn’t notice a difference, not trying to be rude but I might be coming across a bit harsh, sorry man :)

Ehh not in my case (well, 0 skill with a 1.25 high refresh rate multiplier is still 0 lol)

Yeah I doubt most players would agree on that.

No worries, the difference is so clear to me that I didn’t even know others might not experience the same level of increased fidelity.

At least to me, going back to 60Hz feels like my PC is lagging or something, as difference in fluidity is so easy to notice.

man you are so full of crap how is stable 60fps bad lol

Good think everyone can also switch to console and/or use cheats right? Weird way if thinking my friend.

That’s fire.

Russian lumberjacks are built different.

The tree destruction model is something very cool i wish it was implemented long time ago

Glad you are improving the explosion effects

But please, could you also spend some time rework ing the skybox? Especially in the ground battles, clouds look very soft, almost pixelated, i wish they were more volumetric and also adding some post-processing constant fires and smoke coming from burning things in the distance, something like they’ve done in the recent battlefields, would improve so much the immersiveness of the gameplay with tanks

Having a tank battle with shells flying everywhere, destroyed buldings around and a clear blue sky just doesn’t seem right

Thats a very cool idea!

Switching up settings isn’t illegal so comparing it to cheats is wild.

It’s definitely bad when compared to what you can have using higher tier stuff.

Playing a competitive game with 60 FPS is far from optimal.

Huh? U saied everyone can switch to ULQ… and everyone know thats basically cheating. Just because i can… no one forces you to exploit.
Btw exploiting is against the rules… just because gaijin hasnt started to bann people exploiting ULQ dosnt mean they couldnt.

Everyone knows that competitive games have competitive settings, so your argument here is non existent.

Do you even see what you’re writing ?
Banning people for fiddling with in game settings ? This is peak comedy.

By the way, bug exploiting is against the rules and I highly doubt this is a bug. If Gaijin wanted to ban people, they could’ve banned loads for exploiting the bug with scouting, but they didn’t.

It isn’t an exploit, it isn’t against the rules and it isn’t cheating.

Here is a Community Managers answer on ULQ:

I’m amazed ULQ is still being debated in 2025.
If people that want it removed for “unfair advantage” it offers, then using the same logic we should limit the performance on the upper end as well.

The only fair thing would be to limit everyone to one set of settings and call it a day. Let’s all be 1080p@60Hz gamers.
