New BRs >> except USSR 2S6 stays on 10,7 -

The thing with intercepting mavericks and gbus, is that they are slow at range making it quite easy. The way CAS players counter this is to do pop up attacks around 5-6km to avoid strelas, and 2S6 however, it doesn’t really give them enough time to launch a decent amount with the 2S6 being already aware.

Of course, you can still overwhelm any spaa but the 2S6 has the best odds of surviving.

The Su24 and Su39 are surprisingly good at countering Vt1 slingers because they can outrange them with their Kh29TE/D. They travel significantly faster than the mavericks and more interestingly, they usually travel outside their search radar.

I can’t speak for the 25T as I haven’t used it at all but I have used the Su39 extensively (it was my first russian air premium), and I can’t express how much fun I have in this aircraft. It’s very versatile to deal with all sorts of targets and usually my tactic is to take out:

SACLOS spaa (kh29) → IR spaa (kh25) → tanks (vikhrs)

I did have trouble countering the new spaa but with most of them moved up in BR, this tactic still works.

Pantsir should be 12.7
Its more then capable dealing with top tier aircrafts Instead of bullying 11.0 -11.3

Mostly depend on the skills of the operator behind the keyboard…

Now now… they outrange the SPAAs only if set SPAAs dont move… at those rangers Kh29TE/D have only POINT LOCK and unlike the IR varriant of the FnF missiles, the TV-s dont start to “track” once they’re in range of the seeker (>6 km in good weather and contrast background).
Before the “radar screan”, one can make the argument that they can’t know that a missile was fired at them, but now this is not the case.

But how many of these spaa do actually move? These systems are quite big so moving anything outside their spawn is risky.

Like you mentioned it’s a point lock at those ranges but it gets a tracking lock once within 6km so the question is how fast does the agm travel? Quite fast I would say. Even if it misses, it’s splash damage is really good.

That’s if the radar picks up the agm. Like I said before the Vt1 slinger radars are quite poor and very common for the agm to go above it’s search pattern.

The IR can, but I don’t know if the TV guided does…

If the c*ap radar of the ADATS can pick them up, it wont be problem for the others…

I have played the Su-25T quite a lot and Flarakrads are basically a non-issue, especially because they can only shoot two missiles at a time and don’t have any guns.

I usually just spot them, go down, and then come up to them from a different aspect and kill them via vikhir spam ( even if they see me coming, the vikhirs can even intercept their missiles funnily enough) or just gun stafe them…

I think 2S6 in that situation is more scary.

However, when I’m playing maverick slingers ( like A-10 or AJS37), they mostly rely on the ability to climb and top-down tanks with mavericks ( since front-aspect hits aren’t as reliable for kills), and so 2S6 generally is less scary than Flarakrad or Strela, or maybe even the OSA.
Though all of these are effectively still free gun strafe kills, other than on some maps, especially the OSA.

Generally, Squadron Battles has taught me that Tunguska is generally the most versatile SPAA at 10.7, being able to kill tanks ( unlike OSA, and Strela), helicopters ( better than OSA and sometimes Strela), munitions ( generally better than OSA or Strela), and close-range gun-strafing planes ( much better than what the OSA and Strela can).

The only times I think the OSA is better is for long-range engagements against aircraft, while the only time the Strela is better is when you know where multiple aircraft are, and especially when they are low and you have a rear-aspect lock.

it does

and 6km is actually a pretty low estimate

from using agm65b with a similar seeker, it can normally track from 7-8km at least in average conditions

Well both platforms have the same radar search scope so they’re equally as bad. Obviously there’s more to that when it comes to target acquisition but as far as I’m aware, they both suck at shooting down munitions and has arguably worse radar than the 2S6.

They definitely do. all FnF agms have this feature where they can switch from Point to Track mid flight.

Even though IR is superior to TV, it doesn’t mean the AGM is better. Missile flight performance and it’s launch platform needs to also be considered. It’s why I prefer the F4E compared to the A-10A late or A-10C when it comes to CAS

And still Gaijin is ignoring the situation about 2S6 … for myself ???

So great. An AA-tank hunter.
And please do not come around that come around with arguments like it has only 65mm pen, or it just APT rounds. The numbers do not count for USSR tanks. There are tons of articles how are describing that with screenshots and the ussr-bias discussion.

Are you OK?

Why cope ??? Everybody knows it. So don’t think that it is worth to place it.

2S6 doesn’t belong on 10,7 or other AA’s must be updated. Everything else is just out of balance !"!

10.7 is fine for it. 11.0 is stretching its capabilities against jets, which is already kinda mediocre after its missiles were nerfed. It’s already a higher BR than the OSA and Flakrakpanzer, which is a good thing since it is better than those spaas in multiple other aspects.
