Right? This is something I’ll never understand about the need to cram so much postwar stuff into late WW2. Does HEAT-FS or high calibre HE stop working if you meet the less armoured targets of the early cold war? Obviously not. Moving up an SPG with laser rangefinder and thermals doesn’t affect its ability to OHK, it just stops it from clubbing unstabilised tanks with manual rangefinders.

Under that philosophy most the vehicles in game would be faulty products. Ordnance and shell options are subject to balance restrictions. Additionally armor are most likely treated as balancing suggestions as well. As for missing smoke launchers, those might fall under remodeling, which is at the bottom of Gaijin’s bug fixes.
Hull aiming mode on Strv 103-0 was broken for months and tank was almost impossible to use. Imagine buying that vehicle…
