You spelt Russia wrong
No I didn’t, cause I don’t shill for inferior Russian equipment.
The fact Gaijin thinks T-90M is anywhere close to as powerful as the up-ammo’d Abrams is deeply hilarious.
& now USA has 4 T-14 equivalent MBTs at 12.7.
brother what? the T-90m is almost impenetrable from the front, and getting penned from the side is not a guarantee of a kill. Furthermore, the new round will have ZERO effect against the T90Ms ERA, the only thing that the Abrams has over the Russian tanks is mobility and reload rate. If the abrams had close to the correct amount of armor i could understand, but a turret ring made out of paper (with angled armor that takes every round into it), a turret basket, and a lower hull with 360mm of armor make the Abrams much more difficult to play than the Russian MBTs
My Abrams is hilariously far more mobile, fires the best MBT round in the game, has a reload rate only beaten by Leclerc & Type 10, is still well armored.
Your precious T-90M you’re so willing to defend & shill for has more armor protection [which if I’m relying on I have a major skill issue]; and once in an urban environment that T-90M’s side armor is easily shot at, & its poor mobility is easily exploited.
the Abrams should have the best round in the game along with Germany, but all the pen in the world does not matter if your round creates zero spall going through fuel tanks and spall liners, or when the round turns sideways when hitting side ERA. I have to aim much more carefully when playing any of the NATO tanks, when I play the T90M and the T80BVM I rarely even ADS (Not to mention the terminators). When I’m playing Russian tanks it feels like the game is on easy mode, yes i have to adjust my playstyle a bit but it feels like playing the game with training wheels on.
Zero rounds create spall, cause spall comes from the armor not the round.
& all hardened armor generates spall.
I’ve never relied on spall [or fragments] to destroy tanks, I only ever rely on hitting ammo/crew.
& hitting the ammo of T-series tanks is the easiest thing to do on every map that isn’t >1000 meter engagements.
I’ve never aimed carefully on T-series tanks outside of those sniping environments cause their LFP, side armor, and in some cases [BVM] turrets are available options for most maps cause engagement ranges are 100 - 700 meters most of the time.
Playing against T-series tanks is 2nd nature for me.
But they exposed themselves longer for enemy fire due to poor mobility/reverse lol that’s why all those armor can’t make up for their KD. I mean if it is really that good, why ain’t people who claims they are better tanks get better KD in them than the NATO counterparts?
When a round hits any NATO ERA or Armour, it creates spall. It may not necessarily do much damage, but the round is actually simulated as if it actually hit and partially or fully penned.
When a round hits any soviet ERA (especailly at top tier) the shell gets magically deleted. It doesnt matter if it could pen or not. It hit ERA, therefore, it got deleted.
The A3 shell getting ERA Perforation is a start, and hopefully reports regarding DM53, L27A1 and others will also be fixed. But, how much of a difference it will make is unknown given they just buffed Relicit armour by quite a bit.
I’m not sure who you’re referring too, but most of the people i play with have far better KD in russian tanks. Though we really don’t play them often unless we’re going for top tier nukes. If someone is struggling in them i would think they might need to adjust their playstyle a bit. Yes, you get punished in the T90M if you overextend due to the reverse gear but if you play to the tanks strengths it is a very powerful vehicle.
I understand how spalling works, i also understand that the steel hull of the T series tanks should create massive spall when a hyper sonic round weighing over 10 pounds penetrates it that simple Kevlar isn’t going to stop. And obviously nobody relies on spall to kill anything Russian. i’m only saying that from my perspective they get preferred post pen damage outcomes.
Imo the SEPv3 is a pointless addition in it’s current state, but this is a massive skill issue reply.
Renzo saying someone else has a skill issue has always seemed like a strange case to me.
Let me know when you actually learn to play GRB and I’ll let you have that one.
The Abrams are one of the best tanks in game still, even the currently pointless SEPv3, that you suck at playing them is seperate thing.
It won’t save top tier for the U.S, because it has never really been a problem with the Abrams.
Now, of course we have to consider the issue of Russia at top tier being completely dominant, with the SM-SV denying your team any CAS while Russian CAS can run free, along with he BMPT STILL being ridiculously hard to kill, especially with its “internal” external ammo.
But a lot of the issues with U.S win rates are team composition. A lot of U.S players are not very competent, especially since they are given the 3 Abrams that can be bought wir real money (or the squadron one being researched as well). It’s a problem with U.S being one of the nations people flock to when they first start playing. Of course, a small portion of players are going to buy the premium Abrams, and when the U.S already has the disadvantage with CAS, any player who is not competent, is a 1 death leaver, and / or is a low level will screw over the U.S side badly.
I’m sorry that you struggle to use an SPAA with a literal lead indicator. I hope you get help for your skill issue.
Wow, you cited stats from the first toptier vehicle vehicle I played, before stock APFSDS was even a thing btw. What a slam dunk argument.
It’s one thing to be bad at the game. I’m abysmal at Ground RB and have a hard time playing it.
It’s an entire other thing to be a jerk about it.
Anyways let’s get back on topic to prevent mods from coming in here and closing it.
There’s a whole other level of skill issue to sucking with a lead indicator, one that only a player who’s just unlocked radar SPAA for the first time can achieve.
That is an extremely generous statement. I’m well below average, which is why I rely on SPAA for kills.
@MightyBaozi Yo, can you clear up the derailers? It’s all the same offenders . . . as usual.
Well it is a step made towards giving the US tech tree more modern options with better armor and an anti-missile system. Us also gets a permium 8.7 tank and a “Mavrick-14” plane. Who knows this might be the begining of “Americanization of War Thunder”. As for performacnce in top tier I doubt gajiin will create tanks that can get consistant 3 to 5 frags that will simply brake the game completely.
I dont know would any one recommend the Maverick-14 plane?
Well in most cases when I play the T-series tanks the outcome is pretty catastrophic to me. There a plenty of cases in which T-series tanks have been penned and not exploded like in War Thunder. The tanks do indeed have spall liners so that should help. In addition I only carry about 21 rounds when playing T-series tanks, 16 of them being SABOT and the rest high fragmentation. The likelihood of a hughe over pressure to occur is reduced segnificantly.
The tanks that did explode like the ones in youtube is because they were carrying more than 40 rounds with about 80% being high fragmentation. I beleive gajiin does not account in game as much as it should the amount of rounds we carry and the type of rounds they are. In many cases I do beleive it is fair if some one is carrying 16 rounds when they get penned through the wheel for the game not to give you the frag.
