There is a reason why I exclusively play AB for Ground forces and that’s because I can’t spot shit on my small laptop screen. Even in AB visibility past the last 2 years or so got worse and worse (nowadays even 3.5x optics zoom I find unsuitable in AB).
In RB it favors players with huge monitors. This event is very unpleasant for me because of that and also because of the map that doesn’t allow a safe way to close the distance through cover.
So please no more RB only events.

yes I do. Still I’m at a large disadvantage compared to players with big monitors and also to those that are used to RB.
Also as I mentioned, the map doesn’t do me any favors either cause even in AB I don’t usually snipe.
AB is a must for players with usual laptops, unless you’d like pain.
What’s the size of your monitor? My travel laptop has 15.6, and PC is 32, while it is clearly more enjoyable to play on the bigger monitor, I can confirm the ability to spot enemies hadn’t changed much when I was playing with the laptop, I still cannot see most enemies through the third person view in 32 inch monitor if I don’t use the binocular. Maybe it’s due to my playstyle as my performance hadn’t really change much when I play it on my laptop.
I wish it was actually RB rather than modern race car speeds that ignore mud and trenches. Might actually make the A7s and garfields have weaknesses without the arcade boost. It’s kind of super meh that the tank made to cross trenches is the worst vehicle in trench game mode, while truck with gun performs best and toaster that capsizes are the best.
I can assure you that’s big enough screen to do well in grb, don’t mind me if I run some of your replays to analyse your playstyle to see what is the problem?
Doubt it. I mean all these e-celebs (like spookston, odd etc.) play RB and I full screen watching on yt, there are tons of instances where they spot and shoot long range and I’m like how the hell they see that? I can barely see a pixel or so, the only answer would be screen size.
I play Arcade only, I have an eye health problem so I need markers to notice enemies. I want to get those WW1 tanks, so this Great War has been torture for me. Physical torture. Gaijin should get off their high horse and offer both RB and AB options for such events. I find their arrogance insulting.
This event is Gaijin’s mockery of Arcade players once again.
I cannot remember the last time we had a fun (=Ground Arcade) event.
Gaijin teased us with Assault several years ago and that was it.
I think Gaijin specifically designs such events so that RB players could feel superior to AB players for a few days. Disgusting.
Actually, a regular ~24in monitor is the best for RB, as anything beyond a 30in just significantly increases the amount of space you have to scan for targets. So, unless you’re on a laptop screen you’re not at a disadvantage.
