Nerf or remove SPAA in Heli EC

The SPAAs in Helicopter Enduring Confrontation (H-EC) are ridiculous. Gepards and ZSU’s in the H-EC are unnecessarily powerful for a PVE mode. H-EC is supposed to be for harmless Helicopter RP grinding and Lion grinding. However, it is thoroughly ruined by the SPAA’s and their Never Miss God Tier aim. This is only one of many issues that the H-EC has but remains to be the biggest (in my opinion) issue in the mode. Especially if you’re using an early Helicopter with no survivability, long range ATGMs, or even rockets.

One of three things needs to happen to make the PVE game mode better.

  1. Nerf their range and accuracy. The SPAA’s should not be able to hit the Jesus Pin on a helicopter from 6km away. It’s simply ridiculous and makes playing the mode generally painful. Reduce the range to 2km and increase their spread. This keeps the SPAAs in the mode but allows early helicopters the ability to earn some RP and Lions while not making the mode a complete cake walk.

  2. Just remove SPAAs entirely. This is my personal preference as I can’t emphasize, embolden, and even scream it enough. It’s a PVE game mode. There is little to no reason for there to be game ruining SPAAs sniping people the second they dare to enter their range. Dying more than 3 times in the mode makes it so costly for most helicopters that there is little to no value in continuing that match. Their removal would make the mode much less stressful and much more casually fun.

  3. Remove or lower Spawn Cost. As I stated above, I cannot emphasize enough that it is a PVE mode. Why are we shelling out potentially tens of thousands of Lions at a time for a mode that has NO PVP component. While removing the Spawn Cost outright may not be feasible, reducing it by half or even a third would make things less stressful and austere.

Gaijin does not want you playing PvE.

Why would an F2P game give you an easy grind mode?

I feel like early helicopters should have a different lobby. Away from modern helicopters. In this lobby, early helicopters would have more missions spawns catered to their performance.

I suggest basic AA guns as seen on ground in air modes. The light tanks or gun emplacements that shoot at you but are not too much of a threat. I think you should still take damage, it just would not be as intense. This way you can start to learn how to evade gun fire.

SPAA range is already nerfed. SPAA range for the lower bracket in assaults are 2.5km.
For convoys it’s 3.0 - 3.5km.

SPAA range in the upper bracket is 3km in assaults.
3.5 - 4km for convoys.

Problem with those ranges are that depending on the type of airframe, those ranges are the same effective ranges for the early ATGMs. Trying to spade the Scout, while dealing with 2 or 3 Gaypards is tough enough. The faster helos with unguided rockets can be more efficient.

I can’t tell how many times I was just flying along and a convoy suddenly appeared within 2km of me, and I’m now in range of their SPAA kill zone.

Early AGMs go 3 - 4km.
Upper bracket is 5 - 10km.

As mentioned in previous replies, Gaijin doesn’t want you to play a PvE mode that will give you income easily. They have taken various measures to nerf your in-game experience. For example, they have been putting too many players in one single session, which will cause the game to end too soon or make many players fail to gain enough rewards. And they have banned the use of wagers and orders in Heli PvE modes.
It should be pointed out that the Heli PvE mode is almost dead now and they have barely updated it since its introduction. Although Gaijin has nerfed the SPAAs and removed Roland missiles, they won’t improve players’ performance, as the main problem is having too many players in one session leading to too little rewards players will receive.

It is not the AA that is the issue here; the whole H-EC is cursed. For players with all their loadouts unlocked, it is easy to wipe out the AAA. Not the same for stock grinding one or heli with poor amount of loadout.
