Forgot to mention we should probably have multiple air spawns, and with them moved back a larger detection radius near their side of the air map.
Taking off from a single airfield can be camped hard too. If we had like 3 air spawns 30km back and like a 10km detection bubble I think that would help.
With 1 spawn/airfield campers just need to look at 1 area.
What Gaijin should do with GRB spawns overall (Both jets and tanks) is that they should add an big highlighted area where you can click where you want to spawn rather than having 2 meaningless spawns. This would be great since the enemy then won’t predict where an tank will pop up from the spawn if the team gets pushed all the way back into the spawn.
I mean yeah but Gaijin should actually add actual competent bot AAs to the airspawns. Legit take the ones from ARB and put them into GRB. The GRB AAs are so weak you can fly sometimes at low speeds above the airfield and still not get hit.
Did you mean the R-77-1? because calling the regular R-77 “long range” is a bit of a stretch
How would you suggest players use radar missiles, especially SARH missiles without radar? I suppose if you limited them to ECM/HMS mode its doable, but I can already hear the enraged screaming over the idea.
at least until all nations with SPAA systems capable of intercepting them
I believe ALL ARHs are underperforming, as without ECM being in game, giving any of them their full capabilities would make them basically unavoidable.
it’s lacking a lot of energy, the thing almost decelerates like an IR missile currently
also self explodes at 50km at a weak Mach 1.7 on a mach 2, 10km high head on target currently.
It should reach 80km according to available documentation. Since it’s quite busted at short range, it won’t be buffed before a while, and that’s fine, the thing excels at short range and it should stay that way for now.
Other missiles are also underperforming in range, but none by such a large margin
Ah got it. I think Gaijin may have messed something up with the thrust vectoring missiles to cause them to dump velocity to quickly, my guess is that they use the thrust vectoring to make even small corrections at even long ranges causing them to generate too much drag, but that’s just speculation on my part
They’re quite nerfed compared to how they should perform.
And we can’t even do the slaving it to rwr shenanigans 😿
That aside
It would be incredibly daft to disable radars on aircraft that integrate that information heavily, especially with the introduction of longer range ordnance. We’re already at the limit of when other aircraft will actually pop into view.
finding targets is literally the entire point of radar, its like saying, “we should remove optics from tanks so the crew have to get out and find the enemy like normal”
This is new. Seems like somebody realized that there are more missiles in the game that are acutally better than the AMRAAM.
However, i don’t support the idea of unrealistic nerfing. Same goes for the AIM-120. I’ve seen some bug reports for the Mica that got accepted and it should perform way better than now
Micas should be disabled for Ground RB maps. Its indeed the most imbalanced missile ever. These maps are too small, there is no way to compete with Rafales. For ARB you have at least the chance to stay out of range. But Ground RB is just unplayable. They spawn and in minutes the whole sky es empty - all shot down by air spawned Micas.
Let me guess, you’re an American main. Here’s a thought. Don’t be bad at the game. Seriously, stop nerfing French stuff. We don’t need to nerf MICAs, we don’t need to nerf Magic 2s, we don’t need to nerf anything.
To be honest, I hope that the Magic 2 stays in its current state and that a Magic 2 Mk2 is added, having a Magic 2 at 100% of its capabilities would just raise all the aircraft equipping it to BRs making them unplayable. (Ideally, the first aircraft with Magic 2 would keep them in this state (the Mirage F1 and early Mirage 2000 for example, and perhaps in the future late Super Étendard and Jaguar) while more modern aircraft would receive an improved version (late Mirage 2000 and Rafale).
We would meet with the Mirage F1 in 12.0 or even 12.3 with well-modeled Magic 2.
On the other hand, I agree that Mica must absolutely be brought to its true level.
I may dislike the frogs, but with how many people crying about France being OP (laughable), I say we just buff France into God tier. Crying because the Rafale can turn fast? Guess what, it can do a one second turn now, and survive the infinite G’s that came from that. Crying about MICAs? Guess what, you don’t get a chance to dodge, it just teleports to your position and you’re gone. Magics OP? Just locking you with the red ring means you’re eliminated.
