Micas should be disabled for Ground RB maps. Its indeed the most imbalanced missile ever. These maps are too small, there is no way to compete with Rafales. For ARB you have at least the chance to stay out of range. But Ground RB is just unplayable. They spawn and in minutes the whole sky es empty - all shot down by air spawned Micas.
Let me guess, you’re an American main. Here’s a thought. Don’t be bad at the game. Seriously, stop nerfing French stuff. We don’t need to nerf MICAs, we don’t need to nerf Magic 2s, we don’t need to nerf anything.
To be honest, I hope that the Magic 2 stays in its current state and that a Magic 2 Mk2 is added, having a Magic 2 at 100% of its capabilities would just raise all the aircraft equipping it to BRs making them unplayable. (Ideally, the first aircraft with Magic 2 would keep them in this state (the Mirage F1 and early Mirage 2000 for example, and perhaps in the future late Super Étendard and Jaguar) while more modern aircraft would receive an improved version (late Mirage 2000 and Rafale).
We would meet with the Mirage F1 in 12.0 or even 12.3 with well-modeled Magic 2.
On the other hand, I agree that Mica must absolutely be brought to its true level.
I may dislike the frogs, but with how many people crying about France being OP (laughable), I say we just buff France into God tier. Crying because the Rafale can turn fast? Guess what, it can do a one second turn now, and survive the infinite G’s that came from that. Crying about MICAs? Guess what, you don’t get a chance to dodge, it just teleports to your position and you’re gone. Magics OP? Just locking you with the red ring means you’re eliminated.
As a Frenchman, I would find that hilarious.
Besides that, it is true that players complain far too much about French vehicles, whereas in 95% of cases it is essentially a skill issue.
It’s ridiculous, because people will cry about how OP France and Britain are, completely forgetting that the only reason why our vehicles are so bloody good is because we have to somehow survive having shite rounds, constant nerfs, and constantly going higher in BR. Like how the EBR 1951 went from 4.3 to… honestly, I’m surprised it’s not 12.3 at this point. Or the Fox going from 6.7 to 8.0 in less than a year.
Planes wise, yeah, the French are good. God forbid that a country that prides themselves on having indigenous technology actually created something good.
Don’t forget the tears over the swedes. Likely why we haven’t been given a Gripen to compete with the other eurodeltas.
Aye, and surprise surprise, no announcement about the Hornet having CAS capabilities either for Sweden. God forbid Sweden gets something good on the air.
they are the most unbalanced missiles at close range
They are pretty strong and really hard to chaff but I wouldn’t say OP cuz their range is pretty bad when compared to other fox3 missiles
And these things are camping air spawn material even if you wanna play CAP.
Airfield spawn exist you know, also turning your radar off in the setting helps hiding your presence greatly cuz you wont set off enemy RWR right after spawning, highly recommend you do that if you havent already. When the enemy have their radar on when im camping their airfield/air spawn helps me spot them much faster than scanning the sky with my eyes.
No. Just whining here. Other nations have equivalents and rafale/mica are not unavoidable
The next hornet for Sweden from the Finnish stuff should have CAS capabilities. Who knows if we’ll actually get it.
We won’t. I made the complaint, and I was told that they’ll release it later. Which means they will release it when it’s completely irrelevant and make it a big deal for an update.
AAM-4’s being nerfed from 50G’s to 32G’s not to mention other nerfs gaijin implemented to it
Mica-EM, Gaijin: YOLO MISSILE GO BALLIN
I mean sure, except when it becomes “too good”, or unrealistic even.
The rafail being the best plane in the game; can pull 17Gs at mach fuck, has the best fm in the game, the best radar, 8 of the best or 2nd best Fox-3s, and the 2nd best cas loadout.
The plane is so blatantly op, even mediocre players with a KD of 1 or less, can get in the rafale and perform well in it and have decent stats (at worse).
ahh but god forbid a “minor nation” gets something good
The shortcomings of a nation, do not justify it having op vehicles
It was always going to be as soon as the Eurodeltas got added that everyone who didn’t get them would cry.
Rafale does not carry the second best Fox 3, let alone first. It falls behind in range/energy retention to R77-1 and AIM 120. You know, generally the more beneficial aspects for BVR, unless you’re telling me you’re deliberately engaging a Rafale in a dogfight. Or failing to defeat MICAs launched at you from range. I’m not overly good at this rubbish, and prefer to play for ground attack, and even I can avoid MICAs consistently. If Rafale came in with Meteor, or accurately modeled MICA (it is underperforming notably), then your claim might hold some water. But it don’t.
As someone who does play air to ground, the air to ground capacity of Rafale is middling at best, with the only real benefit being range. The payload weight is mediocre, and whilst the AASMs are good at striking tanks, they take a short age to arrive at the target and it’s quite plausible they’re either behind cover or already turned to shrapnel by either tanks, or Kh 38s from the myriad carriers of them. If you want an effective strike platform for any prolonged engagement like EC, Rafale is sorely lacking.
Yeah, you can’t pull 17gs at high speeds, short of throwing it into a flat spin*. This was tested in full real, without the aoa limiter, minimum fuel load, and no armament, in a multitude of maneuvers to give this claim the most chance of occurring. But you want to know what else pulls 17gs in a flat spin? Most everything if you do it properly. Though I would also note, most aicraft are overperforming in G limit, because that is Gaijin’s standard. A more notable exception being the Gripen, because people like you complained, even when they had the figures accurate.
As it stands, the aircraft is generally accurate to available documentation with some exceptions in order to match the envelopes they deem most critical for a faithful depiction of the platform. The EFT is plausibly slightly underperforming, as it should keep up close to Rafale (lagging slightly behind agility because of a few factors, but better retention on account of that), and we don’t have the Gripen equivalent to these two platforms.
*Having almost no fuel will break this, but that’s the case for virtually every aircraft. If you want to address that, you’re going to have to address every other platform having similarly exaggerated G overloads when at a minute or 2 fuel.
The cope from Rafale abusers is strong /s
I don’t agree with what the topic suggests at all, but lets not act like the MICA isn’t a top 3 ARH missile in the game. (The Aim-120 is not in there BTW)
More like MICA-EM, => cut the range by 30 clicks
Careful what you wish for, the occasional mad french main doing some CAP (hello) is one of the few things preventing your leopard from being obliterated by a continuous KH38MT apocalyptic rain.
Nah quite clerarly it’s busted especially on Ground RB map. But i’d much prefer the spawns to be further away, give some space to aircrafts, or over gameplay tweaks, removing MICA EM from french CAP or nerfing it to the ground is a laughable solution.
What do you want to do CAP with, Magic II and 530D ?
Can’t really call folk out for cope, then present arguably the greatest example of it. Just a bit silly.
You outrange threats with MICA by ~20km effective range (worst case) from equivalently competent platforms with AIM 120. MICA is below top 3, as even the base R77 out ranges it. Only sub 15km (if you’re fortunate) does MICA start gaining an edge, at which point an AMRAAM (or R77-1) would have been well on its way. AMRAAM is generally the best ARH missile, with only minor pressure from the R77-1 to rival its BVR efficacy. Except you find R77-1 is found on a very mediocre platform as opposed to some of the best aside from Rafale. The primary (and arguably only one worth noting) advantage for MICA is the agility in the short range. Sub 10km, sure, it’s the best (But both R77-1 and AIM 120 are still very competent at these ranges). But you’ve still got 40km to make up in which you’ve already been engaged.
Only overly effective here on account of things starting within its range, as opposed to starting well outside of its range generally followed by salvoing a volley of AMRAAMs well before they’re in a good launch distance otherwise.
yep
Bye bye KH38 and Kronstadt then
